I can’t ever tell you sure what to do with your attributes bc it will depend on your gear, but you will need over 120 int by the end, so grab a healthy amount of that

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but when you get the passive skill, "Lord of Horror" (Minions have 12% reduced reservation) you need to click off all of your minions and then click them back. The game doesn't factor in the reduced reservation on active minions and that should get you at least 1 if not 2 additional minions.
how do you mean click them off, and click back on again., do you mean in the ammount that you have, like lower it to zero with the minus and add back on with the plus in the skill bar?

New ARPG player here. Poe2 was my first step in the water. Mate your guides have been amazing. Really appreciate the work you do, literally making the game instantly enjoyable and understandable for newbs.
Also when you infect enemies with contagion, when they die, contagion stays on the corps. So when those little scorpion minions appear, they are all infected automatically by contagion, then they continue to spread as they attack. Such a great loop!
@ once you got a bunch of arsonists and the spirits, they pretty much kill everything without much input from you outside of casting firewall or cursing a strong enemy. I still have unearth on my bar just to have extra minions at times in case my main group needs time to respawn

@mcarr416ix same on xbox series x. It's unplayable with all the screen tearing and lag. I've tried every single possible graphic setting combination and even hooked up my MSI monitor. Still plays and looks like shit...

You saved me i was quitting poe because of I tried 2-3 different builds but unfortunately I couldn’t enjoy it this one by far more enjoyable build i played
Opposite for me as a warrior. I cant see what the enemies are doing due to the fire walls. The skeletons look like enemies. You can't turn off the allies VFX.
Firewall+skulls just clutter up screen and make it hard to see enemy dmg zones.. also after testing i realised it adds little to dmg overall. I use enfeeble now which means i'm taking less dmg and so are minions...with the added bonus i can see ground !!!
And as always raxx is the hero who saves poe2 for me. I will try rhis build. Keep up your good work. Watching your guides is great. You always learn something.
I think a missed opportunity in your excellent guide (for beginning players) is to explain that Raging Spirits is NOT a witch spell. In fact, if you are following "suggested" spells, you will/can miss the ability from the boss that gives you your first SPIRIT gem, and accidently spend it on a witch aura, instead of Raging Spirits. This was my fail, when I just did my own minion build.
sadly GGG will raise the spirit cost of the Arsonits soon. This is what is written in the forum "Skeletal Arsonists Spirit costs now match the other two Skeleton Mages, this should result in a slight decrease in the number of Arsonists at a higher level." 😒
Minion survival becomes a big issue when you get to maps and you WILL need to invest into survival. The problem is the revive timer resets if a minion dies. So if you fight something that can kill your minions (which is a lot if you dont make them tanky) you will lose one, your damage goes down and the enemies have less targets, which means you lose the next one before the revive and the timer resets, and it cascades until you are alone for the full revive timer and at that point you're probably dead. For personal survival ES stacking and grim feast is well known to be busted and you can take it easily with this build because there honestly arent that many minion nodes we need to worry about and you can pump your ES up a ton. Secondly consider taking the right side of that block tree and find yourself a shield with a high increased block roll. You can pretty easily be hitting over 60% block with just a few points. My witch is at 68% right now and combining that with grim feast means you dont die unless all your minions do first in maps

Great info Purple! im new to POE and was already running this type of build and wondered how endgame would be! I was getting worried about the survival side.
While you raise valid points, this is explicitly a levelling build. I agree with you though and think this build does more harm then good - it gives the player (especially a new one) a false sense of security that will perish in the end game. Also this build and playstyle have serious visibility problems that I think are worth mentioning.

As a witch I’ve done everything in my power to avoid this build but it seems to be the only build anyone recommends. A chaos/disease blood mage would be cool
This is exactly what I tried to do on EA launch. I don't recommend it at all. Bloodmage is one of the worst, if not the worst, ascendancy and chaos dot for damage just doesn't feel smooth. You really need to delete the enemies instantly like the fire minion build does or else you start to see the glaring weaknesses of the minion AI compared to enemy AI. The enemies almost completely ignore your minions. The mobs go straight for you and you're left running around waiting for the disease to spread. Someone else referred to the build as a "backpedal simulator".

Yea dude I know there are plenty of easy mode builds but I just can’t stop shattering things with my Monk… it’s soooooo fun to blast around and slap everything. I do need to get a new weapon tho

Appreciate the info brother! I was close to this as a newbie beginner in POE, but there were a few parts of your build that helped me become tankier and do some more dps. Thanks for the info and build. I am level 20 now and have made it to the rolling caravan in act 2. I'm liking the game and the minion witch so far. Just going to keep grinding on the campaign and leveling. I'm thinking about maybe merc which was my first choice pre-launch, but back to my favorite type in the minion realm at launch. Seen your content on ranger and that is my 2nd favorite type of toon. Enjoying the game so far. My first ARPG was D4 and I still enjoy it (1200hrs playtime), but this is also fun and challenging in a different way. Enjoy your videos and streams. Keep it up!
I'll hold my opinion until I see how you level early, but boy does it feel terrible playing witch before SRS. Minions all die and you have zero dps while they respawn
This game is boring af 😂... This build makes the game actually bareable. Made all 6 characters and I only cared about minions from the beginning and its the only build thats actually fun. This game is meh af

Dude, i can't believe I found this video yesterday after suffering to level 30 with a chaos hexblast build that stalled out at the end of Act 3. Within a few hours I had obliterated Act 3. Thank you sir.
I was working with an extremely similar build that I put together that I was trying to figure out why it wasn't working. Then realizing swap the wand for the shield.. oh my god. Plus this build with a controller is perfect. I'm using unearth while I work on gems for extra minions and with the shield, it points to the closest enemy which is usually in front of a bunch of dead monsters, so now when I use unearth, it doesn't go to a random wall with nothing, I unearth the monsters directly behind my target which usually spawns max minions.. It's fantastic. Thanks Hooded man.
Thank you Rax, I've fixed my similar build using your tips and indeed it is much better. It looks like passive tree fire damage nodes that I've set were not working for minions. Now everything is melting :)
I had actually just started this but my tree is a mess so this will totally come in handy to help me clean that up, thanks! Also the wand skill that turns corpses into heat seeking fireballs just makes this insanely fun as well :)

im a poe newbie and this build has been a huge game changer for me. i was playing a spark sorceress and got to act 2 with nearly 50 deaths. this build i just got to act three with only 4 deaths so far and all of those because i didnt know the mechanic of the boss i was fighting and id win at the next attempt. night and day difference ngl.
Personally just transitioned into an ES version after leveling the campaign. This is by far the fastest version to campaign with, ignore most boss mechanics, just double flame wall before boss, flam into offering, then just spam flamewall whilst running. Melter. you will die, it has legit 0 defences. Nerf removed like 2 arsonists for me, went from 10-8 with a decent amount of spirit on my gear. (~+200).
Yo thanks a bunch. I have a feeling this will get boring but cant but cant deny how OP this looks. Only had to make subtle changes with my level 25 witch to get the ball rolling with this.
Very interesting construction, but for those who are just starting with the first construction, it is extremely difficult to realize, realize, somehow you lack spirit, I am at level 10 and I have not found anything with which I can jump to spirit Anyway congratulations for the very explicit video in the understanding of everyone
it would be really nice to know when to spec into strength and dex with the +5 to any attribute nodes. sincethe build uses multiple support gems from dex and strength. so we dont have to respec at some point for more str/dex :)
This build has made the game so much easier for me. I tried Deadeye ranger and stormweaver sorc and both had great burst damage but I was dying so often due to how squishy they are. I was really struggling with bosses as well. As soon as I tried witch though it was a game changer. So much more tanky than other classes I’ve tried and does really great damage as well. Absolutely steamrolling the game now with this build.
I know it's probably suboptimal, but I went Bloodmage in hopes the Leech stuff worked and to be a Cold caster but never made it to the build before the nerfs. I think Minion Witch as Bloodmage going down the right side of the tree is pretty good. Makes you really tanky, and the minions do all the work so you aren't sacrificing life to do any damage. I'd recommend people try it out before rerolling their Witch that may feel bricked.
This build is so damn good! I threw in Grim Feast and am skipping a few of the "just because they're near" nodes in favor of some Energy Shield nodes but am otherwise following and the only times I've died were to something blowing up underneath me when I was smoking or taking a drink and not paying attention. XD

love the build but if you don't go left of Raw Destruction and instead go left at the top of the first attribute you will save 2 skill points

Poe2 is pretty easy to understand if you are willing to put effort into it, people expect big result without even trying anything themselves

Been playing this build since day 1. Biggest weakness is FPS. In breach it drops to 27 because of all the fire effects

8:09 This is huge. I had no idea there was an actual difference between ‘more’ damage and ‘increased’ damage.
Yeh, GGG did great with the helper overlays and it's mind boggling that "increased" and "more" didn't get their own pages.

Great video was about 75% on the same track. 1 QUESTION: what were you speccing into percentage wise, INTELLIGENCE, STRENGTH, AND DEXTERITY?
What I did was: as much Int and Dex as you need for the gems and the rest goes into Strength
Mostly int as the spells are expensive to upgrade at 14

Use your points on Intelligence mostly and a few on Strength and Dexterity, depending on the items you might be using.

Yes, you cant have as many arsonists as you could, I went from 10 to 8. Not a gamebreaker

Appreciate the info brother! I was close to this as a newbie beginner in POE, but there were a few parts of your build that helped me become tankier and do some more dps. Thanks for the info and build. I am level 20 now and have made it to the rolling caravan in act 2. I'm liking the game and the minion witch so far. Just going to keep grinding on the campaign and leveling. I'm thinking about maybe merc which was my first choice pre-launch, but back to my favorite type in the minion realm at launch. Seen your content on ranger and that is my 2nd favorite type of toon. Enjoying the game so far. My first ARPG was D4 and I still enjoy it (1200hrs playtime), but this is also fun and challenging in a different way. Enjoy your videos and streams. Keep it up!
I'll hold my opinion until I see how you level early, but boy does it feel terrible playing witch before SRS. Minions all die and you have zero dps while they respawn
New to POE2 and this is the best video i've ever seen since the beginning.
This build definitely turns PoE 2 into easy mode. It's super boring to watch on stream.

This game is boring af 😂... This build makes the game actually bareable. Made all 6 characters and I only cared about minions from the beginning and its the only build thats actually fun. This game is meh af

@@r3dr3drose Me too. I tried to be different with Witch and it didn't go well. I'm not the greatest at creating my own builds though. I wish I could learn from other streamers but they're all playing this Infernalist Fire Minion build.
Dude, i can't believe I found this video yesterday after suffering to level 30 with a chaos hexblast build that stalled out at the end of Act 3. Within a few hours I had obliterated Act 3. Thank you sir.

I was working with an extremely similar build that I put together that I was trying to figure out why it wasn't working. Then realizing swap the wand for the shield.. oh my god. Plus this build with a controller is perfect. I'm using unearth while I work on gems for extra minions and with the shield, it points to the closest enemy which is usually in front of a bunch of dead monsters, so now when I use unearth, it doesn't go to a random wall with nothing, I unearth the monsters directly behind my target which usually spawns max minions.. It's fantastic. Thanks Hooded man.

Thank you Rax, I've fixed my similar build using your tips and indeed it is much better. It looks like passive tree fire damage nodes that I've set were not working for minions. Now everything is melting :)
I had actually just started this but my tree is a mess so this will totally come in handy to help me clean that up, thanks! Also the wand skill that turns corpses into heat seeking fireballs just makes this insanely fun as well :)

im a poe newbie and this build has been a huge game changer for me. i was playing a spark sorceress and got to act 2 with nearly 50 deaths. this build i just got to act three with only 4 deaths so far and all of those because i didnt know the mechanic of the boss i was fighting and id win at the next attempt. night and day difference ngl.

Personally just transitioned into an ES version after leveling the campaign. This is by far the fastest version to campaign with, ignore most boss mechanics, just double flame wall before boss, flam into offering, then just spam flamewall whilst running. Melter. you will die, it has legit 0 defences. Nerf removed like 2 arsonists for me, went from 10-8 with a decent amount of spirit on my gear. (~+200).
Yo thanks a bunch. I have a feeling this will get boring but cant but cant deny how OP this looks. Only had to make subtle changes with my level 25 witch to get the ball rolling with this.
Very interesting construction, but for those who are just starting with the first construction, it is extremely difficult to realize, realize, somehow you lack spirit, I am at level 10 and I have not found anything with which I can jump to spirit

it would be really nice to know when to spec into strength and dex with the +5 to any attribute nodes. sincethe build uses multiple support gems from dex and strength. so we dont have to respec at some point for more str/dex :)
This build has made the game so much easier for me. I tried Deadeye ranger and stormweaver sorc and both had great burst damage but I was dying so often due to how squishy they are. I was really struggling with bosses as well. As soon as I tried witch though it was a game changer. So much more tanky than other classes I’ve tried and does really great damage as well. Absolutely steamrolling the game now with this build.
I know it's probably suboptimal, but I went Bloodmage in hopes the Leech stuff worked and to be a Cold caster but never made it to the build before the nerfs. I think Minion Witch as Bloodmage going down the right side of the tree is pretty good. Makes you really tanky, and the minions do all the work so you aren't sacrificing life to do any damage. I'd recommend people try it out before rerolling their Witch that may feel bricked.

Great campaign build guide. Don't forget the Oaksworn shield - only requires lvl 7, native with 50 spirit, and most trade for 1 Ex.
Why did you take accuracy @21:11? Shouldn't minion level raise their chance to hit automatically? Is it worth spending 2 points on accuracy?

This build is so damn good! I threw in Grim Feast and am skipping a few of the "just because they're near" nodes in favor of some Energy Shield nodes but am otherwise following and the only times I've died were to something blowing up underneath me when I was smoking or taking a drink and not paying attention. XD
