- I just recently graduated from Georgia Tech and started a new job as a consultant, so I thought I'd show you guys what a typical work week looks like! If you've ever been curious about what a consultant actually does, watch my NEW video...and you'll see that I'm still trying to figure it out too!
Disclaimer: I've only been working for 2 months so my experience may vary drastically from what you've heard or experienced yourself..

This actually looks fun. I'm already a loner and I'm still in high school sooo going to a random town in Louisiana doesn't sound too bad lol.
Tchit87 don’t get me wrong it can be fun too! Everything has its pros and cons haha
@@TooTallTim Do you consider your work/hours normal for consultants? Does it vary between levels of prestige of the firm? Also does GT get a lot of recruiting for consulting/ were you in the biz school?
@@tchit8792 I would say work hours vary more depending on your project, regardless of your firm. However, average consulting hours are between 50-70 hours a week, and you're probably more likely to experience around the higher end of the range in a highly prestigious firm like McKinsey.
I did graduate from the business school, and they don't get a ton of recruiting for consulting, but they are on the come up. You'll see a lot of the Big 4 and other firms like CapGemini or Protiviti, but we have yet to establish great relations with the Big 3 (McKinsey, Bain, BCG).
Great vid, Tim! Loved the transparency re: thinking all of the free food would be glamorous hahaha. I just uploaded my first 'Consultant Work Week In My Life' too! 🙌🏾
Thanks a lot! I just watched it and I might actually have a chance to go up to Toronto for my current project. Looks like an awesome city!
TooTallTim Thanks for watching! Amazing, it’s definitely a great spot!
I will cry if I had to fly to middle of no where staying in low-end hotels
What do you deliver as a consultant??
A ppt deck full of recommendations backed with data
Good work Man , which co do you work for ? . Anyways I liked the fact that you didn't stress on " like and subscribe " you do it solely for good content :)
