The only thing that sucks for krauser is his power leaves him open to attack during transition by one second. You can't move or react and if a one hit kill attack happens during that time, you're dead.

why is it sometimes even though i get the 150 combo the characters don't do the animation thing? is there a way to trigger it or is it random?

Krauser’s TMP in mercenaries is pretty much stock/default on all stats excluding reload speed which is only maxed out specifically for his unique reload animation
