Not even the best strategy games android reddit could hold a candle to this breathtaking Next generation competitive Pokemon experience.
Scream Tail is the Jigglypuff of our wildest dreams. It has been buffed with some higher statistics and the incredible ability, Protosynthesis. Gen 9 Competitive Pokemon wouldn't be the same without this powerful pink blob. He kinda looks like someone I met in one of my game design and development courses.
Gen 9 Pokemon Showdown is one of the greatest online gaming sites in history. From Pikachu and Charizard, to Palafin and Roaring Moon, The new Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, have introduced a lot of new faces. Can I succeed in one of the best android games of all time? If so, I'm gonna get myself a Walmart bakery Pokemon cake to celebrate.
Gholdengo is a Pokemon made of pure gold. He must have done some online business management courses to accumulate all that wealth. Or perhaps he might want to learn how to make money playing video games on TH-cam. In any case, he's a powerful metagame force, with absolutely no interest in online game development schools.

I always thought you had a 0% chance to hit protect after 3 in a row. Did I make this up or is this a later gen change ?
I think in ADV, the chance to hit a protect thirds every time it succeeds. So it was 1/1 -> 1/3 -> 1/9 -> 1/27 -> failed 1/81. But don't quote me on that

A BKC video have invaded my youtube notification. I saw a new video posted and opened it to hear BKC narrating a BW OU video. I tried to turn it off, but could not do it before he started talking in Ryan Gosling. I cried, "This is Insane!" before the toilet break
The year is 20BB. It was long discovered that the paradox pokemon of Butterfree and Beedrill "Flutter Wings" and "Iron Drills" were in the pokemon emerald source code all a long ever since it's first release in September 16, 2004.
Both of which can be received after completing the pokedex and traveling to the "Viridian island" which is said to be the birth place of all bug type pokemon past and future. Some say It acted as gateway to another dimension though this isn't confirmed.
From this point on every ADV OU match now consists of nothing but bug type pokemon thanks to the buggy terrain set up by the pokemon Flutter Wings and buggy terrain boosted "Make it spin" by the pokemon Iron Drills. "This is insane" said all ADV OU gamers.
Any resemblance of what used to be the ADV OU metagame decades past as ceast to exist now thanks to every tier consisting of bugs. This event would go down in history as the Buggification incident and it will inevitably come when you least expect it.
Beedrill's new paradox form benefitted greatly from its new steel/ghost typing, and its new signature move, "make it spin", a 120 base power steel type move allows it to deal large amounts of damage.
centiscorch is the premier pokemon with access to at least a neutrally effective move against all bugs and a quad resistance to Make It Spin.

An almost entirely new type of terrain that was previously found only on the eastern shore of Cinnabar Island.

Turn 67 of game 2 is such a subtle crazy play. BKC switches in dug on starmie to trap it in and force it to take more toxic damage and that’s just awesome.

Man, as much as I want to get back into competitive Pokemon at times, it's games like these that make it hard to go through with. The fact that there is so much RNG going on in each turn just make it hard to take serious again. Always fun to watch though. :)
It doesn't help that Smogon rather foolishly, for such an RNG-heavy game, sets 2 out of 3 as the standard, rather than 3 out of 5, which would help level out the influence of luck on a competitor's performance.
The likelihood of BKC getting screwed over by luck a third or fourth time, was low.
Just started some gen 3 OU for the first time using the knowledge from this channel. I made a bad HO meme team that does check some powerful threats and maybe could win against a good team by virtue of surprise (if played by a good experienced player) but is hilariously good fun in low ladder where everyone is using weird garbage. Mostly I explode because I've never had the good grace of old gen explosion mechanics and they are tasty. Use the boomers to check threats for Gengar and Exeggutor and hope they can clean off the rest. Surprisingly had like 8 wins 6 losses for the last bit I've been playing (again this is low ladder, I got up to like 1142 ELO. Very much expected to lose more. Thanks Jimothy and crew for inspiring me to be stupid in a different tier hahahaha

Feel like a lot of the sets so far have a very strong correlation with hax going your way and winning
BKC is epic.
It always nice to see BKC lose 2-0 in ADV. I remember how biased he was against Baton Pass and thanks to him and others it got nerfed badly in gen 4 OU. He tried it too in ADV, but I'm glad this didn't succeed because we've seen in Jabba's match how cool it was to see Celebi Baton Pass Swords Dance boosts to Scizor and win the game.

Why do celebis use hp grass instead of giga drain?
Giga Drain have 8 PP in gen 3. Thats probably why
More PP, more BP, and I guess you have access to healing through Recover. You see both, but some prefer it
Mainly for the extra PP. Celebis will use giga drain on sets that want grass-fire coverage, as they need to fit hp fire.

the triple is 9% and after that I thought it would be a programmed miss. After the math it should be 3%.
Consecutive Protect success rate is multiplied by 1/2 until Gen 5 rather than 1/3. Still very fortunate.
