oh my god I remember being stuck on this boss and never being able to get past the final hit - if I had known literally right after, the credits would roll, I'd have pushed through

This game is already pretty janky, but, man, Toybox 3 is like one of the jankiest levels I've ever played in a video game! I really hate that last ball section!

You played on the original DS or a emulator? I was playing in the emulator and after final boss the game just turned in a black screen and I couldn't see the credits. I played a rom (E)

my theory is that k.rool stole all the bananas from dk was just for the kongs to starve and die and then k.rool would have no difficulty at taking over dk island.

@@3upgames2023 Wow! Very nice! That's actually the most logical theory I've heard! Makes absolute sense!
I'm guessing Donkey Kong 64 is where K. Rool realizes he can't take over DK Island, so he decides to just blow it up!

He wants to lure DK out to fight him. But alas, it doesn’t hold so much motive to do so. If only the story could have King K Rool kidnap Pauline instead then he would have some significance in stealing what DK holds dear and DK and Diddy would go and rescue her
