the problem with the situation of skins is that many people are just sick of the usual purple/dark edgy emo horns/dragon type of skin, we literally just got 2 of them an update ago, now people think that its basically pointless now to vote for future skin contest because all casual players (or moreover, the kids that play brawl stars) they will vote for the "edgy" type of skin, so what happens now is that the reputation of these future skin making contest will be base off from just the edgy type of palette of the art, you just have to make an artstyle like that and you'd automatically win, which pisses off a lot of people

Fine it looks boring, blant and just like the other skins, they were no thoughts put in her design meanwhile the other ones were much more diverse. Also ancestral skin was picked way before the finalists. They just announced later on. Maybe its connected to a theme?
Supercell needs to make a voting system for themes, and then put the voting system for skins. That way we as a community can decide the theme and the skin.

Such as the other time where Supercell picked a theme and it didn't turn out edgy? I believe that you're just assuming that every skin will turn out edgy no matter what which is clearly not true if you would have looked at past results.

@@kingauther7812 Supercell will put out a selection of themes, and players will vote on the theme that they want. The themes are controlled by Supercell, the players just have a lot more flexibility towards a theme that they really want. There will be no edgy themes.
Worst thing is that practically all purchaseable belle skins are also on a cold pallete.
The only one that’s not is a brawl pass skin from a while ago that I couldn’t get because I’m ftp :/
as a belle main, im pretty dissapointed, because most of the people will not pay this skin because they dont play belle, it is just a goofy ass skin with no common point with the character design of belle, plus people do not choose what is the most beautiful and most well executed, they just choosed the most impresive and "badass" which is a stupid way to choose
As a belle main myself, I love this skin,but not my fav, I would have prefer the pink one to win. I can understand the frustration but the skin on its own is objectively good. Skins don’t need to have a common point with their og character deigns to be good but that subjective and ppl will buy the skin, i like the idea that someone comment to have a 2nd place winner but I doubt it would happen ppl underestimate how long it takes for skins to go from concept to in game. I would love to have a supercell make competition be more frequent but i get why it’s not. I’m happy that belle is just getting a new skin now and even though it not the one i wanted it’s still a solid choice over the one supercell made for her

This is supposed to be a community thing, so if people have a problem against it then blaming supercell won’t do anything. Also the skins are even that bad, although this belle one wasn’t my fav. The frank and sandy skins were still very good even while being purple.
all but 2 brawlers in the entire game do not have red blue or purple on them. One of them is kit & it has a blue skin, people don't like playing non blue red or purple characters. I noticed this a while ago now but it's still crazy.
The next purple skin winner should reference this drama just to make people mad lol

@@jentedoos844the purple skins are great, but after a few of these same color scheme skins coming out, (exacerbated by the fact it's voted on) would make a lot of people disappointed. Personally, Purple is a great color. But if they release skins that look alike and feel repetitive, it cheapens the color purple as a whole. It might not feel "unique" after some time.

I think the main reason these edgy purple skins always win the vote is because brawl stars player base is mostly edgy 10,11,12 year-olds. So their votes always outweigh everyone else’s. The only way I can see them fixing this is adding the first and second place winner or doing what they did during this make and adding a skin of their choice. I hope the reign of purple demon evil skins comes to an end. 😕

Don't blame the artists, blame Supercell, because they started the campaign without a theme. If there was a theme, there would be no edgy purple samurai ninjas, dragons, demons and so on. As it was with Amber and Mr. P. The winner's skin is majestic, and the community has its own taste, I guess.
At this point it should be called supercell purple

There was a recent supersell make for Amber and Mr.p and the skins that won were SOOOO different than those I get that a lot of purple skins that won but some aren't

There is a very clear solution and it’s to bring back the supercell campaigns where there is a theme to follow so then and spooky purple skin will rarely fit the campaign
All supercell needs to do is give a theme to the next supercell make, all of these “edgy” skins come from campaigns with no theme
It’s more so the skins being edgy dark themed than them being purple and black (which the fact that they have repeated the scheme doesn’t help at all)

As a Belle main who bought her pass, I also wanted to vote for the Barbie one. It's so different to her current skins and even vaguely retro; there's nothing to hate, feels like her relaxing for once and shooting for fun, not for business.
