During the KERAIA "20th Anniversary" Fall/Winter 2016 fashion show, held on 14 April 2016 in Taipei as part of the "Taipei IN Style" fashion event, the flower bed disposed on the runway to give a poetic/dreamy vibe proved too slippery for the high-heeled models, as one of them fell down and another one tripped. The poor model who fell subsequently lost her fur scarf (which began to slide down right after her fall), and she had to awkwardly bend in order to pick it up.

Why the hell they make such a slippery ramps.

Simply because some fashion designers consider that rose petals give a romantic/dreamy vibe to their shows and nicely complement their clothes, without thinking that petals are very slippery and difficult to walk on, especially for models in high heels...

What happens when this happens to models? Do they get looked down upon by designers? Do they lose out on future work for it?

The Shiny concrete floor should be covered in a medium density carpet and Lowering the heel height to a level comfortable of each individual model would make sense. Models Falling down shows a lack of preparation and consideration. These shows do not represent an appropriate way we should Presenting our fashion models. There “should be” a limit to to pain and inconvenience considered necessary to display high fashion.
