Thank you 🤩🤩🤩 a complete steering refit has already happened and, short of a few minor touch ups, we are back to normal. The new system is very beefy thanks to Seawind and Gurit!

You should get residential solar panels for your boat 400 watts. More robust yes but bus lifers swear by them if you have the room they’re quite large.
😂😂😂😂 she did have a few crabs bite her lips but she just shook them off!! Sometime the claw detached and I had to pick it off! She is a tough cookie! 😂😂 I am not sure if she can find truffles, wouldn’t it be nice 😊
WOW those glassy opening shots !!!! It always amazes me when you are so used to see oceans and seas moving around non stop all the time, that when it goes glassy like that, that there is no ripples even!!! Stunning! Who was doing the video this week? LOL. so many out of focus shots! Great to see you didn't break anything this week. So why the limping rudder? I thought you fixed it last week? Fair 💨's and Following 🌊's.
😂😂😂 some auto of focus was intentional (sunset) to give the impression of “focusing” on the beauty of the sun. Out of focus shots on the crabs were technical, we were filming with the big camera and hard to focus on moving targets 🫤. The rudder was limping because we still had the old pin with stress fractures. We have now undergone a complete refit of the entire system with beefed up hardware!!💪💪

Hi, the brand is Flexiteak. It feels great under your feet and it looks awesome. Like anything else they are tradeoffs, added weight, cost, and definitely gets hot. Probably not as bad as real teak but noticeable. Thanks for watching and for commenting.
The steering system was a known Issue that Seawind was supposed to fix a while ack but we had not found a place to do the work until we arrived to Tahiti. The entire refit is done and will show it in upcoming videos! Thanks for watching and for commenting 😊😊

Especially with the steering system, you’d think they would err on the other side to be cautious considering what could happen. What would have happened if that rudder issue happened with a solo sailer? Or in a violent storm?
Very pertinent comment!! The steering system is engineered by Gurit, ( www.gurit.com/performance-yachts/) not Seawind. Gurit provides structural designs for IMOCA, Volovo race and other performance racing vessels. It seems that they focused more on weight and performance rather than strength. The system was totally redesigned after we started working with SW and reporting failures. All new SW 1600 come with the new system and SW is retrofitting all hulls (we are #6). 💪💪💪🙏

After a thorough review by Gurit, the engineering firm who built the steering systems, all new models are automatically outfitted with the upgraded version. Seawind is in the process of refitting all previous hulls. We just completed our refit with the new version, stronger and definitely awesome. 🤩
