Freaky Friday at Music Theatre Wichita!

Continuing our wonderful relationship with the Disney Theatrical Company, MTWichita is proud to present the area premiere of this fun-filled new musical, based on the popular 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films which followed. It features a witty and insightful script by Bridget Carpenter - the co-executive producer and writer on the “Friday Night Lights” and “Parenthood” TV shows - and music and lyrics by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey - the Pulitzer Prize-winning composers of Next to Normal and If/Then.
When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday is a tuneful, heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. Enjoyable for all family members, it will have special resonance for mother-daughter teams who choose to share the experience!
