A Filipino Atin said that when Justin was talking about the concept of this mv ,in their bts vlog that it’s like how your mind works when you are so in love that nothing seems right in your world and you do the weirdest stuff even being straight faced to seem in control hence their quirky dance moves and as the moves are such a bop ,it’s a celebration of the ecstatic feeling experienced. So tied in with the lyrics if you look at their moves. And of course it’s under water evoking synchronised swimming and not singing as you can’t under water Take on correlation with moon and water. Of course ,SB19 always want their fans to dissect their mvs and come up with their own interpretations. They love it

The lyrics was actually naughty. That's why Justin intentionally divert our naughty thoughts by channeling it to do different concept. And I love what he did. Kudos to everyone. The MV is refreshing, eye catching and captivating. He made it quirky yet classy.
Now that I think about it. Yeah they definitely diverted our thoughts the other way, I can definitely hear Justin say "Naughty naughty"😂

You get it! That was the intended reaction! Coz the lyrics were so sensual, they did this quirky dancing just like all the weird things that happen at moonlight. Brilliant I think! Such a bop, I hope it gets the recognition it deserves!

Ian Asher & Terry Zhong are DJs/Producers and formed part of the team that composed the song Moonlight. SB19 came out with a behind the scenes vlog about the filming of the MV posted just yesterday. According to Stell the motivation for keeping a poker face was that the one who failed would be the one to pay for the expenses in making the MV. 😉😊

Yes it’s a production collab. It’s actually so funny because their faces are so dead pan. In the bts vlog they said it actually only took them 3 days to do the choreo 🤯 & a week to pull the whole production together.

Yes, Justine,who's the creative director said the song is kind a sensual but wanted to do a quirky weird and funny concept because that's what you kinda feel after doing it under moonlight if you know what I meant. Justin mentioned that the creative planning only started one week before the MV shoot. Which means they also had a week to practice that choreo!!! Whoa!!!

You will be amazed with this fact. Although they have recorded Moonlight in NY middle of last year, the whole MV was done in a week, from planning stage to learning the choreo, to the production and shooting. Kudos to everybody.
Justin is the Creative Director and he said since the lyrics are rated PG, he wanted to veer away with that and conceptualize something quirky and a bit weird. They're in a swimming pool like set so it seems like synchronized swimming.

It is amazing how good they are as dancers, because Jay Roncesvalles came up with the choreo in less than a week, which means they also only had a few days to practice. Though we have to remember they all competed in the dance world before they got together as SB19 (Did Pablo compete?). The backup dancers, SKOUTS, are champions. They’re phenomenal as always.

Thank you for this reaction video. You will never what the boys will offer next that's why it is something to look forward most of the time. They dont box themselves and just stick to what is in today. This quirky dance is really contradicting to lyrics of the songs 😊 but very catchy and weird in a nice way. You should check the behind the scene of this. In just a short less than a week or two they did all these things.

The project was initiated a week before filming. There wasn't originally going to be a mv for Moonlight but Justin wanted to create one for it so he volunteered to be the creative director. So conceptualization, planning (including choreo creation and practice), execution/filming happened all within the span of one week. What an impressive feat.
Thanks girls for appreciating the song and MV. They also dropped a bts of Moonlight, the concept is all from Justin's brilliant mind. The choreo is quirky and that was intentional because the song is serious and sensual and they want to attack it differently. If you noticed they are dancing in a pool of water so it looked like they are doing synchronized swimming and hence cannot sing and be serious 🤭

the scene is like their dancing under the pool and you can see the movement of the water above them. also they incorporated some synchronized dance just likt the synchronized dancers do in the pool. go watch the behind the scenes. In the end you can notice Pablo looking tired. when they finished the scenes
