Great effort with the broken mirror phone holder Brian, lighting looks good to me in the video the back light might be needed for a night-time shave, lighting is always a challenge for my shave videos as well. I have been also interested in trying some of those TRC soap offerings, going by the recipe and texture I suspect it's made by a well known Artisan (A...) who does do a bit of white box soaps for 3rd parties. I apologize that I wrote "too fast" in my previous comment. now i think that is the point, to carry out the shaving as quickly as possible, without cut yourself, leave the skin in the best possible condition. of course, the longer the video the better👍
@@thewetshaveexperience6988 must've been a recent addition. When you purchase direct from Aylsworth you can choose a standard base plate (.7mm gap/.05mm exposure) or plus plate (.99mm gap/.125 exposure).
@@MrEunderwood I just looked. Mine has a + on the bottom so I assume that’s the plus plate. I can’t remember when I ordered it there being a plate option. I may have to try the other plate. I’m guessing it will be a little less efficient though.

Is the apex too aggressive to use as a daily driver with the plus plate?
For me, it’s not a daily driver. I think the apex only comes in one plate option.
