actually she explained herself in past episode.. she's not ungrateful ,she just don't like the idea that rich mock them just because they are orphans...You don't know that feeling bcoz you are just watching . If you are in her shoes , I bet u will wish that it is better to be not born than to have life like that. I know that feeling.

I really HATE Judy's attitude when it comes to the orphans, I wish she'd change. She should be involved in the charity and give pointers to her friends. Plus she needs to learn that not every orphanage is going to be the same her's was. Not everyone has the same experiences. Although I understand that she thinks her friends are just doing it just to feel good about themselves, she also needs to stop judging them only because the're rich. You'd think she already knew Sallie.

I really hate that attitude of Judy.. very ungrateful and thinks helping orphans in that way is horrible. Seriously, it is not their fault that there are orphans.

Hmm she felt that people (rich people) were donating just to feel good about themselves and have fun while not putting effort to really understand how orphans feel. I understand where she's coming from. That's why nowadays, at some churches, we actually do famine (fasting) and volunteer/work during hunger, and we seek donation from others, to try to really feel and understand what hungry people have to go thru to survive. It's a great experience. I did that when I was a teenager. Of course it still isn't the same as being in real hunger, but it's a good experience.
Later on in life I ended up putting myself in a real poor situation tho.. where I really had little to no money and didn't have food to eat, no place to stay, and had to rely on others (friends)...almost losing hope. Or maybe I did lose hope... Even in a real situation like that, I felt that I'm not worthy of their help and felt guilty, while I was still thankful...I really felt like a burden and left. There were always people trying to "help"...but I felt that they just wanted something from me, and after they get what they want or they find out they can't get what they want from me, they would want me to leave. Even with my family I felt like a burden. No matter what I did, I just felt I don't belong. Then I met a person who believed in me, and...it's hard to put into words... I guess I met a person who was similar to Jervis, except he was going thru emotionally tough time too. Even though he had money, he had no time to enjoy any of it, and no one would stay with him, because he was working so hard on his future career. He invited me to stay with him and asked me for help. He didn't even have time (or motivation) to go grocery shopping to eat real food. For the first time in my life, I felt useful and needed.
We made each other's life so wonderful and I guess we put a meaning to each other's life. Maybe that's what Judy wanted. Not just feel bad for others and donate, but...realize that being poor doesn't mean they don't have stuff to offer other people. It's hard to explain lol. She just didn't like that people feeling bad for her and giving stuff to her made her feel less than them, less of a human. I guess she wanted to be treated equally. It just means she had strong will and pride as an individual. She didn't want to let being poor define who she is, and she didn't want other people to see her that way either. That's why she learned that she shouldn't define people being "rich" define who they really are. Money doesn't define us. It shouldn't. This is why Jervis fell in love with her. Because she was seeing his heart.

Yeah. Judy's full of double standards that she doesn't realize herself. I still like the anime, either way.

      You are absolutely right!
Everyone should watch this. People should NOT assume their character/feeling by how much money they have.
This episode remind me of After You, My Dear Alphonse by Shirley Jackson.
