Dermaplast, tucks wipes, and postpartum ice packs were wonderful for recovery! Also, ask your nurse to get you an ice pack made out of a diaper. Literally the best thing ever.
The belly supporter is for AFTER you give birth. Especially for women who have c sections. Everything is all stretched out and feels heavy and sagging so it helps hold everything in and for those who had a c section helps so the wound doesn't get stretched out. ☺️
Nice job Matt Im a 51 year mom who’s given birth to 3 boys and spent 15 years working in Pediatrics and 5 years in OBGYN practice management and was stumped on a few items. Course my youngest Son just turned 20 years old in April. Pre and postpartum devices have come a long way since. So excited for you both knowing today, Saturday the 9th is induction day!! yall! i"m an og to the channel!! when i found this channel it had maybe 1k!! now y'all are at 1.4 mil!! its soo awesome to see you guys go from 20 year old college students just trying to graduate and taking a leap into the unknown to college graduates who are now going to be freaking parents!! yall are the perfect example to show how taking a leap can help you succeed farther than you could ever imagine!
As a mom of 4, my first 2 are twins and I had them naturally, I ended up needing 2 big stitches, if you can find the Dermoplast in a foam, not a spray, IT HELPS SO MUCH!!! The stitches were gone and healed in 4 days. Healing after birth is not fun,especially if it's your first, but like you said Abby, you're built different. You're going to bounce back in no time and be back on that surf board within 3 weeks of having little man. Sending love and many prayers for a safe and healthy delivery!💙💙💙

Nicu nurse here!! Vacuum is actually used more often than forceps and are still used today
Matt is always “a sexual device thing” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 there was stuff that I didn’t hear ever!! And I was a mom in 2014…OMG!! Those disposable panties are THE BEST thing ever!

My kiddo is almost three months and I want to tell you that Dermoplast saved me those first couple weeks of recovery! The nurse told me to spray it directly on the "affected" area, so I always did that instead of spraying on a pad. She was big so I ended up with 5th degree but this stuff worked miracles.

Hakka actually is a manual breast pump. A “ladybug” is to just catch the milk, but a Hakka pulls because of the suction.
I loved this video! It's crazy how many different products are out there now. I have almost 6 kiddos and I didn't know a lot of these. Also, thanks for the packing reminder! We're about 10 weeks (give or take) from baby #6 and with the last few it's been the absolute last thing I've done...last minute because it's been a second thought lol Congrats to you two on your first!

The hakkaa is literally the most amazing bf product! Because of thay device my freezer stash was hefty! Also a manual breaat pump worked 1000000x better for me than the electric
Girl that has passed SAVED OUT LIVES. Maybe a little dramatic. But we used them 3 times a day for a bit because our little one was so gassy and so constipated. Life saver.

The haakaa is for the other side when you’re breastfeeding! When you use an electric pump you pump both breasts at the same time so wouldn’t need the haakaa. It’s a life saver though! I’ve been able to build my entire freezer stash using the haakaa alone! It’s really nice not having to pump extra when I already exclusively breastfeed.
I had the cook balloon (or called foley bulb) and it was the literal worst. If you can not get it don’t! I like that it was able to induce me mechanically rather than medication but if I can help it I will not be doing that again. It worked! But the insertion was the worst pain I’ve ever felt.

The baby forceps doooo hurt the baby, don’t let them bully you into using them. They tried to force me after I had barely started pushing and got irritated when I said no. I had the baby out within 20 minutes.

Haha! The nose frida got me! 😆 But yes, taking a stool softener after you have a baby isn’t a bad idea.
Don’t use forceps unless you’ve changed positions, especially getting up onto your hands and knees. You can ignore what your doc says and get into different positions. They just like certain ones because it’s easier for them. They tried using forceps and suction cup on my baby before giving me an epsomite. 14 stitches later, wish I would have had the knowledge to change positions to help widen the birth canal.

That itch spray is amazing to use on bug bites!

Just a little hack from an older mom to a younger one.
-Buy some tucks pads
- after you give birth fold 1 pad in half
-after you gone to the restroom and have cleaned your self up take that pad and place on your pad where your vagina is ( if you get hemorrhoids use another pad on the back end of the pad to help the hemorrhoids).
-tucks are just witch hazel that help lessen the swelling and the pain.
- they use to give them at the hospital but I think now they just give you that derma spray.
- for me the tucks worked way better
then the spray.

the haaka can also be for breastfeeding if your breastfeeding on one side then the haaka goes on the other

Fun fact: most hospitals have everything you need for postpartum care, newborn care, and pretty much everything you’ll need after having a baby for your stay there (at least the hospital I work in does). They even have the sitz baths, peri bottle, peri ice packs, and so many more things that you mentioned in this video. So definitely save your time and money and just get it from the hospital! I am a nurse on the postpartum and NICU floors (in Springfield MO!!) and parents never know this and they always wish they did prior. I hope your hospital is as accommodating and that everything goes smoothly. 🤍🤍🤍

While old microwaves could leak microwaves they are fairly safe even standing right next to the. Microwaves are not likely to cause cancer. The main cause of microwaves leaking microwaves is it still running when you open so if it doesn't shut off quick enough when you open it can leak some microwaves

I love you guys🤣I laughed so hard. Serious note: I used a peanut ball and it’s sooooo comfy! Also, when I’m all done nursing my daughter I’m going to up cycle my soft cotton reusable breast pads for make up removers and face washers lol!
I used the Peanut with my third child and it was AMAZING!!! The nurse came in to check me and she was like "oh, there's a head!" 😂 My daughter was birthing herself without us even knowing! It was the easiest delivery ever, two pushes and she was out!! 🤱

I had to laugh at the forceps. Yes, they're still used, though infrequently. My Son had to be born stat due to low oxygen levels and he was vacuumed out. Little peanut really had a peanut head for the longest time.
