Wow, to think this was the first Dukes related material aside from DVD bonus features that Tom and John had filmed together since the second reunion movie back in 2000. Granted, even though this is just a car commercial i honestly don't see how Bo and Luke would just part with the General like that granted how valuable the '69 Chargers have become in the years since the show was originally airing. Also a minor error but this General appears to have a custom wheel mounted shifter, whereas most of the ones used in the show were floor mounted.
There was an episode of Smallville in 2005 with a couple minutes of Tom Wopat and John Schneider driving a '69 Dodge Charger, looking just like the Duke boys but speaking as their Smallville characters.

They were all automatics on TV besides the one they crashed into the lake. In cab shots were auto with a floor shifter. I’m sure some of the lower model stunt cars were column shifted.
