    After reading more positive reviews and only a few negative reviews I purchased this pistol, so far 300 rounds no issues at all, my hands are medium size and the pistol feels great on me! At 7 yards I was surprised how well I shot and I don’t shoot a lot because of ammunition cost but I feel real good about it’s accuracy, I feel the 380 is good enough to get away from evil if I had to ! I absolutely love how light it is I forget I’m even carrying this pistol! For deep carry this is perfect for me! I’ll trust my life with it any day!!

    I am a competitive shooter, instructor and movie consultant and I have had the privilege of shooting literally 100s of different guns and own 127 handguns. When someone suggested I try out this gun I was skeptical but relented. I was, like most are when they get to shoot it, shocked by how well the gun shoots and light the recoil (yes I know it’s 380 but it’s the size of a gymnast). After 5 minutes of shooting it, I was stacking doubles at 7 yards, and let’s be honest, you’re not shooting this with purpose further out than 7 yards.
    Don’t get me wrong I’ve now spent 300 rounds getting used to it and I can put A zone shots on target at 15 and even 20 but you should only consider a gun that you can shoot accurately at 7yards and in.
    It feels like a toy but is an absolute keeper!!

    I agree, I think this little pocket pistol fits its intended use very nicely. The only issue that I have with it is the magazines are very difficult to load to their maximum capacity. However, I do believe over time the springs will lighten up 🤞🏼. This is my new edc and my wife will eventually pick one up as well.

    I LOVE the BG 2.0.
    I always wanted a 42 slide with a frame that has a double-stack 14rd mag, but this is even better bc it’s so small but shoots as softly.
    I find the rear sight notch too wide. Dont like the trigger dingus. And think the mag-release is a bit too extended for a pocket gun. But I still love it.

    Thanks for the review. I didn’t shoot it but held it in my hand and that thing sure is tiny. I don’t know how they fit 10 rounds in that magazine even though it’s only a 380.
    I totally agree with you. I can’t tell you how many CC classes I’ve been to where guys show up with these big fancy guns with laser this and light that. It’s clear that they can’t possibly be carrying such a gun on a daily basis. But a free country I guess.

    My wife bought one. Still prefers her Ruger Security 380. We found the 2.0 works fine with Critical Defense and American Eagle FMJ. But locked up with some rounds of Federal HST. Other channels have found functioning problems with some other brands of ammunition. Personally I found the gun works well but is too small to be comfortable in my large hands. I prefer the Sig 365-380.

    I wish I had the same good experience. Smith and Wesson has had my Bodyguard 2.0 for a month due to numerous failure to feed issues after 400-500 rounds of various ammo. I cleaned/oiled and polished the feed ramp to no avail. At this point I would not recommend the firearm based on my experience. The BG 2.0’s size is both a positive and a negative. Its size makes it super easy to conceal and carry, but if you have pretty big/meaty hands, it can be really difficult to hold really well for shooting. Personally, I wear large gloves, but my hands are not beefy, so holding and shooting the BG 2.0 is pretty easy. I would definitely handle one in person, to see how it fits your hand, as opposed to ordering one online, and shipping it to your FFL.

      Wait ‘till you shoot one. From a seated, braced position at 25 yards I hit a 12” tall 8” wide steel target twice out of 22 rounds. The rear sight is so wide you could drive a bus through it, coupled with a sight radius that’s positively tiny, and a trigger pull that’s longer than you would expect, I would say this is more of a contact/belly gun than any kind of a gun with which you can be accurate.

    • @tombazemore1098
      @tombazemore1098 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@warbuzzard7167 25 yards is a bit much for a bad breath back off pocket pistol. And for .380 ballistics. Not really going to be making sure the front sight is perfectly centered in the back sight. More point and shoot. I’ve put over 300 rds through mine and it’s works great for the intended purpose IMO. And the small size means I’ll take it with me.

    • @warbuzzard7167
      @warbuzzard7167 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@tombazemore1098 I agree with your general approach- but yesterday I established conclusively that the pistol is highly repeatable but highly inaccurate; the sights drive you 3” left (in a relatively small group) at a measured 10 yards. The problem is clearly a sight problem, and every firearm should at least shoot to point of aim without windage issues. Yes, at contact to 7 yards, it won’t make much of a difference, but coupled with stress and adrenaline, the leftward bias could make the difference between ending a fight and losing one.

    • @nickolasthefrog

      @@tombazemore1098At 100m a 380 is near the velocity of a lot of standard pressure 38spc or 32acp at the muzzle, and a center mass hold should drop into the pelvic girdle. It should still do sufficient penetration with the hollow point acting like ball. The main limiting factor of a 380 pistol is ergonomics.

    Do your Bodyguard 2.0 magazines easily load to full capacity? How about the G42? Are the Glock magazines easy to load to full capacity? How about racking the slide on a full mag; Is the first round picked up and chambered correctly on both guns? Do full magazines easily insert and lock without having to slap them into place? How about ejecting a full mag? Do the magazines easily drop without having to be yanked out? I'm assuming the recoil spring assembly isn't jamming, causing the gun to lock up and not eject a live round. Anyway, any of the problems above should be a deal breaker for a carry gun. People are reporting having these problems... If you aren't, that's great.
