Obviously she was struggling with her throat. Her version of the song is consistent and beautiful -actually this is a real cover because you can identify the "chan-esque" style. Her performance of this song in the Black Sessions is simply perfect.
Wow, some of you guys are really missing the point. What would be served by her singing it EXACTLY the same way Patsy sang it. Nothing--absolutely nothing. Just listen to the great original if that's what you want. True, she didn't write the lyrics and her fidgeting is unnerving, but her voice and style lends these old words a new soul, one that is full of a darker brand of melancholy.
Good voice too bad you dont understand the emotion the song brings when artist does a song sung before by another artist they really should research it or at least show respect for the persons life and feeling of pain they went through its too bad this girl didnt do this any good singer can sing only an artist can truly shine
