    I’ve made that walk twice from Huntington State Park & caught 2 small sea bass. Beautiful scenery. Think if I ever go again, I’ll take kayak and fish along the way

      If you bring a kayak launch at the oyster recycling center. 👊🏻 I haven’t fished the jetties in awhile.

    Just saw this video, gotta make it out to the jetty one day. I have a place in Surfside, and have been looking for places to fish. Found a cool spot yesterday, the Swing Bridge Park in River City, Forestbrook. Probably heading over there today.

      That’s awesome. The jetties are a great place to fish. Something always biting. I need to head back over there and do another jetties video👊🏻

    Hey, Chris. Can the public access the North jetty form the point directly across the inlet from your position in this video? I see there is an access on Google Earth but that is a residential area. Thanks!

      No I don’t think you can. That is a gated community. The only way is to find a spot to park and walk the beach to the point.

      @@DeadCalmOutdoors Egads Muffy! There’s another proletariat kayak fisherman trying to pass through our gates! Call the authorities at once! 😂🤣😂

      You can walk the beach to the North jetty from the public parking lot just before the gated community. It takes about 20-25mins by foot.

    Hey Dead Calm Outdoors, like the fishing videos. Looking forward to checking out the Jetties in Murrells Inlet some time soon. In the meantime heading down to MB this coming weekend ( 11/20-22) to see my daughter and planning on checking out that abandon golf course ponds you fished. Will anyone run me off the property? What bait will be working this time of the year , as it is very slow around Matthews NC. Thanks for the information.

      No, you want be bothered at the golf course. Texas rigged worms and lizards have been working best. lighter colors. Work them slow do.to.the colder weather. Good luck

      Welcome to DCO nation. Honestly I don’t know. 1.25 miles one way. If the tide is out and you walk in the hard sand not the soft sand, you should be ok. Your just need to head out there and give it a try. Sorry I couldn’t be more help.

    Can you use lizard fish as bait?

    • @DeadCalmOutdoors
      @DeadCalmOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I never have. But used as a cut bait should work.

    what gear are you using on the jetties at murrells? i'm doing inshore walking/kayak

    • @DeadCalmOutdoors
      @DeadCalmOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use the same gear when I’m in my kayak. 7 ft med fast action rod with a Lews 3000 reel. 15 lb broad. When I’m at the jetties I up my leader to 30 lb because of rocks and you never know what you will hook up. Best of luck. 👍

      Dead Calm Outdoors yeah as I sent that you said how far in your video. That’s a long walk on sand in the heat for sure.
