It's natural for family members, in their grieving, to grasp onto theories for their loved ones' deaths other than suicide, but the most logical explanation here was that he was depressed and committed suicide. He simply didn't share the full extent of his mental state with his family, which is why they are struggling with it so much. A grand conspiracy is the least likely cause of his death, but then we wouldn't have this documentary.

Unfortunately, two things could have been true: he could have been under that immense pressure at work, and also clinically depressed. He could have been blackmailed (and it's likely he was), but also suicidal. He saw a psychiatrist and said things that led him to be diagnosed with clinical depression. It's I'm not too sure what the point of saying "it's not believed he took the prescribed medication" was, since there is a chance it may have saved his life in the short term. It's natural for family members, in their grieving, to grasp onto theories for their loved ones' deaths other than suicide, but the most logical explanation here was that he was depressed and committed suicide. He simply didn't share the full extent of his mental state with his family, which is why they are struggling with it so much. A grand conspiracy is the least likely cause of his death, but then we wouldn't have this documentary.
