(no offense to anyone, truth is the truth). - lack of jobs in this country, where the leaders of the country are ignoring it like crazy and playing politics and showing numbers. - Investing on anything, we need to pay taxes. and there are many more...

I agree that religious tourism contribute to the economic boost of the city but there's a downside too, i'm from Ujjain and there's no proper management from the government for the thousands of pilgrims visit everyday. The traffic specially has gotten so worse that you can't even WALK safely on the roads forgot about driving.
I worked hard for the whole last year.. Night Shifts for the whole year and my company was happy with my performence. So, they gave me a very good raise in the salary, however I was shocked when I realised that my in hand salary reduced after the yearly raise. I could not believe that because I worked hard the whole year, the govt took my entire money that I was paid by my company as a raise, disguised as Income Tax. I have dependent parents, home loan, medical expenses took look into... But my govt will take my hard earned money and expect me to say nothing. 🙏
