Regarding the USB.......for those of you who ride in the rain, you can mount the USB "upside down" so as to not get any rain water inside the USB port. The lid on the USB is waterproof but the USB is not waterproof when a device is olugged into it.
Hey, thanks man! Seems like great quality too! I might not have the retainer clip in correctly because when I start the bike the light beam vibrates a bit. Do you notice that with yours? Thanks!
+Jeckyll859 it takes some finagling to get the bulb to sit right and the retaining clip to lock down. Mine doesn't vibrate at all. Have a look, something may not be completely clipped or a screw could be loose in the assembly. I haven't had that on a Cyclops light but I have on other brands.
geeeze! them jokers are like mini suns! that front light looked like them bulbs they threw in the new caddys! i swear they use the same front blinker on the 1000 and the baby z
Is there any way you can post the link to the usb charging port you bought from ebay? All the ones I am finding are needlessly big, complicated and use connections I don't need, like an SAE connection going to the battery. I thought finding something simple would be simple.
Unfortunately I can't find any that are as small and functional as that one. The listing just says "unavailable" . It's frustrating. This is the closest I can find: rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F113111289167
So... Might be an obvious observation, but if you are looking for airflow, why bother modifying the weather seal at all, just leave it off? Looks good, and I really like how bright those indicators are!
You don't need to, but if you live in a warm humid climate, moisture can get into the housing from behind past the bulb mounting base and cause it to fog up inside the headlight. Your mod isn't totally sealing it, but it is better than the back being fully exposed. You would think the LED manufacturers would make a small gasket that matches the 3 tabbed mounting plate so when the LED is clamped in by the wire it would seal up the housing.
+Busted knucks Thanks Busted. I thought there was a reason for that stupid rubber thing. Cyclops should do something. Here we rarely break 40% RH so I don't think it's an issue. It may be when I go to SCMM tho.
+Smith & Wesson Yeah you can but I don't trust them. LEDs generate too much heat, IMO the fans are worth it. According to the CSP they are legal in Colorado
Wicked lights man. I plan to upgrade the bulb in my headlight with an led even though I haven't got to ride at night yet.
+MotardSteve I love them during the day. The extra brightness and whiter light are more visible IMO.
Thanks Motard
MtnMoto I gotta see what size bulb my Husky takes. May use the bulb you got here if it fits.
+MotardSteve yeah, check Cyclops Adventures. They're coming out with more 7000 lumen bulbs. It's a 50w bulb tho so make sure your bike can push it.

Just got home from Cyclops with mine and it's super bright!
+Jeckyll859 Love Cyclops! Best lights I've found. That's awesome, enjoy and #ShinySideUp

+Moto Girl Vlogs Thanks MGV, and agreed... There's a reason why it's one of my first upgrades on every bike. Visibility is key IMO
I really like my flush mounted signals and my next upgrade on my bike is an HID or LED bulb for my headlight.
+Dartman101 hell yeah brotha. If you can I definitely recommend Cyclops Adventures. I've had great luck with them.
Im gonna have to check them out for sure.
Good video man, thanks! Happy riding

+Rider Obvious Good point. I need to google that shit and see if it's necessary to keep it.

+Rider Obvious if you wash it
Would love to see output shots of the new bulb at night
