As an Oregonian...I'm curious about the criteria for what a state's favorite cookie might be.
A quick Google tells me that chocolate-covered Thin Mints are Oregon's favorite GSC, (meaning Rhett & Link were fairly close)...and the "state cookie" is a hazelnut one.
The "Oregon Trail" cookie seems to be a popular item, which contains hazelnuts, oats, cherries & chocolate.
So how did we end up with pumpkin spice, which I personally abhor?

One year, my girlfriend's pumpkin patch was especially prolific, so we were trying every pumpkin recipe we could find. We came across one for pumpkin-chocolate chip cookies. It sounded really gross, but they were Delicious! Still one of my favorite cookies. You can get them at Kroger's and, at certain times of the year, at WalMart bakery.

I've lived in Florida most of my life and I've never seen or heard of orange or butter pecan cookies
They got 3 states wrong, so I assume the whole episode is false.
And you can see this pattern ever since 2015/16. Quality went downhill drastically and alot of information is blatantly wrong but pushed as facts.
