Not to bring the mood down even further, but I've had a theory about Walrus not being the villain Vinny thought he was all along. Now seems the best time to post it.
What is Walrus? Walrus is a buddy. That's his personality. Walrus has been, since the very day he joined the island, the most popular boy and one of the most popular mii's period. He could be friends with whoever he wanted without even trying...except for with one person: Vinny. Walrus has no reason to have anything against Vinny, and sure enough Walrus DOESN'T have anything against Vinny. One of the first things Vinny gave Walrus was his favorite food, albeit inadvertedly. This is not something that makes you hate a person, this is something that makes you like them. Walrus has only ever wanted to be Vinny's buddy, just like with everyone else. But Walrus unknowingly stole Vinny's love interest from him, and only after they were together did he realize the harm he did to Vinny. But Walrus was never mocking Vinny over it. Walrus was never bragging about it. No, Walrus has only ever tried to make things right.
Think back. Who had a thing for Vinny long ago? Alpaca. THE one girl Vinny despised more than any other and wanted to get away from. Alpaca pursued Vinny just as much as Vinny pursued Two-Faced, if not more. The two almost got together on multiple occassion. That is, until someone interfered to help Vinny out. Who was that?
Walrus
Walrus is the one that set Alpaca up with Bonzibuddy and got Alpaca off Vinny's back, and he did this almost IMMEDIATELY after Alpaca almost hooked up with Vinny. Walrus was trying to make things right, in his own way. But that's not all....
Remember their Smash fight? I do. And there was definitely a stock that Walrus basically threw. Walrus was actually beating Vinny towards the start, but towards the end he began making stupid mistakes....but what if they weren't mistakes? What if Walrus was knowingly throwing the match and pretending to be stupid? What if Walrus felt bad and just wanted to make Vinny happy? It's just a theory, you might say, but the Alpaca situation supports this theory, does it not? And that's not all....
Finally, Two-Faced proposed. We all remember it. Vinny was heartbroken. Vinny reluctantly agreed to help her out, and we could all hear the sadness in his voice. But despite his sadness, Vinny did not sabotage the proposal like he did some others. No, Vinny wanted Two-Faced to be happy, so he was going through with it. Yes, there was a time or two he hesitated, but he ultimately wanted her happy. Remember how it ended...? It ended with the "mystery" of if Vinny sabotaged the proposal or if the proposal just failed on it's own due to a very sudden thought change. I argue that that was no mystery: Vinny very clearly intended to let Two-Faced marry Walrus; Vinny is not psychic and couldn't've predicted that change so quickly.
So who sabotaged the wedding? Walrus.
At the last minute Walrus himself couldn't go through with harming Vinny like that, and quite awkwardly, Walrus did the ONLY thing that came to mind to stop Two-Faced's proposal: he made a tasteless comment about how he could see her nose hair. It's such an awkward and ass thing to do, but he took that bullet for Vinny.
And in the end, that final bullet...? That started leading Two-Faced to drift away from him. Two-Faced became frustrated and discontent with their relationship, jaded to it all and wondering what happened to the nice guy she fell for and when did Walrus start being such an ass? The tragic part is that Walrus truly loved and cared for Two-Faced as well, but Walrus is too kind hearted to hurt anyone, even if it interferes with his own happiness.
...And Vinny will never know. This whole time Vinny has jealously convinced himself Walrus is an asshole of the highest order, that Walrus is just some jerk who deserves to be taken down a peg. Vinny has had him arrested, treated him poorly and fed him food Walrus seems allergic to.
But in the end, Walrus didn't falter. He lived with it and tried to cope, trying to balance both relationships somehow, so that he could be with his love but develop a friendship with Vinny. In the end though...it cost Walrus his love.
In the end, Walrus is what he is. Walrus was and always has been:
A Buddy
That was.. perfect.
Walrus is the hero Vinesauce needs, but not the one it wants

Vinesauce Tomodachi Life has become my favorite drama/comedy show.
For me it already was since Part 1, i knew from the start this would go so well.
I've become more attached to this than any programme ever.

Vinny giving Walrus a different apartment was pretty much metaphorical for him releasing his hatred of Walrus. He bottled his anger up in a "cage" like state of mind, but as soon as he saw how Walrus had been through the same scenario as himself, he released him and his hatred. A second chance.

I was like "OH, SHIT" when Dong stole Two-Faced. And, well, I started to feel bad for Walrus. And Longknife's comment made me kinda like him even more. I predict a team battle game in Smash, Vinny and Walrus, fighting DK and Mii DK.
Ever since Vinny introduced the Jahns, everything has been pretty wacky.
Yeah... There's something big going on with them. The amount of weirdness on the island has drastically increased since their arrival. I also think Hotdog ('member? You 'member!) was some sort of scout for the Jahns. He did some sort of survey of the island for the Jahn trio that's here now. And in "dimension 2" (before the Isaac crash of ep. 28) Hotdogs keep moving into the island, taking over. This is the start of a catastrophic alien invasion, and Dong, Isaac, the other "aware" islanders - they know. And they're trying to warn everyone, but stay low-key about it in case the Jahns eavesdrop. ...And Vlinny's just looking to get his jollies by stealing dicks, using the coming chaos as a perfect cover to not get turned in for, y'know, breaking-and-entering & potential manslaughter.

Vinny, you claim to hate Dong, but in reality, he was only doing what you always wanted. He knew you hated Walrus. He knew you'd do anything to get revenge on him. But you were weak. All you did was lock him in a prison and feed him croissants. So Dong took matters into his own hands, taking away the one thing Walrus cared about most. He devastated Walrus in ways you couldn't even imagine.
Dong did everything you wished you could do and more. Because that's what Dong is: the manifestation of your deepest darkest desires. He is aware of his existence inside a video game, because unlike every other islander, he is more than just a fictional character. He is the part of you that you tried to keep locked away inside of you, but failed.
You can never kill Dong. Not really. You can banish him, but he'll never truly go away. When you are at your lowest point, he will return. Waiting... Watching... Expanding...

I actually feel pretty bad for Walrus this time. I loved it when Vinny bailed Walrus out of prison and helped him get over his depression.
Now that DK is dating Two-Faced, it sure would suck if DK was to be found with some "illegal substances" that would lead to him getting thrown in prison ʷᶦᶰᵏ ʷᶦᶰᵏ ᶰᵘᵈᵍᵉ ᶰᵘᵈᵍᵉ

I love how, in the French version of Tomodachi life, you have a little note saying "Don't try this at home!" in the Swinging the Baby mini-game.

Huh. This episode did not go how I expected. Sponge actually laid pretty low this episode. Could mean he's preparing for the revolution in secret, or it could mean nothing. I think it's worth mentioning, however, that Sponge and Two-Faced were hanging out a LOT last episode, and both were hanging out with Walrus and Dong. Of course, it could just be a coincidence, but I'm finding it harder and harder to believe that anything involving Sponge is a coincidence anymore.
Vlinny didn't show up at all this episode, which I suppose is a good thing. Maybe he's biding his time while he thaws to full strength, or maybe Vinny was just blowin' smoke to blow our minds when he brought up Vlinny's true form. Or maybe he melted and died. Schrodinger's Clone, and all that.
I want to discourage you from killing off BonziBuddy, Vinny. It will give the resistance a greater ally, as death is nary an inconvenience for one such as Sponge. Not only that, but Sponge has stated that he wants a life full of memes. Killing off one of the islands best Buddies, who happens to be a meme, would probably be taken as a declaration of war.
Ironically, it seems that Walrus may be one of Vinny's greatest allies if the island is ever turned against itself.

I also just thought of something, link is on this island right? So anyone on the island could go to hyrule as well, so they could use the triforce to get there wish granted...even Sponge, what would he wish for though?
Maybe DK wanted to get with Two Faced so Vinny would delete him, or free him from the game.
He was watching it all play out. It was all part of his plan.
What exactly is he up to? And what will happen when the revolution happens?
I think is that this was arranged - Two-faced and Walrus are still 'together', but using donkey kong as a decoy. By pretending that Dong stole Two-faced, Walrus garnered sympathy from Vinny and was able to infiltrate Vinny's social circle. Walrus now has an in - an in even Two-faced doesn't have, for despite being Vinny's 'one true love', her relationship with Walrus distanced the two - meanwhile, Walrus and Vinny bond over the fact that both 'lost' Two-faced.
Sponge is definitely the leader behind this movement. The time spent with the others last episode was probably when they were making the plans. Vinny should watch his back - I have no doubt that this is a ruse and that Walrus is a spy.

Walrus was never the evil one. He was just chasing his love interest. He had no idea anyone else was into her. Two Faced went out with Walrus to get attention. But, when she saw the opportunity to go out with Expand D-*ahem* Donkey Kong, a far more popular character, she took it. All Two Faced wants is to be popular. Your next task is to free Donkey Kong from his new prison.
This game is so unpredictable, holy shit, the jahns thinking about the moon was bizarre, donkey kong trying to piss off the real vinny.
Holy cow I wasn't expecting a Mii to ditch her partner after dating for this long. Even though Vinny kinda hated Walrus, he was one of my favourites so this was kinda sad. That cutscene rubbed salt on the wound.

Holy shit, I was thinking "man, wouldn't it be hilarious if DK asking Two-Faced out worked and he took her from Walrus?" I never thought it would actually happen. But then all that melodrama, dragging on for like two minutes, and all it took to make it better was a single sausage.

It's relative compassion/empathy. Something happened that made you see the true human (well... walrus) side that everyone has, which dissipated the grudge you held. You saw the raw emotion that everyone has, this time unmasked by the differences. You related to him, or at least felt sympathetic.
This game is the offspring of the idea that 2 microphones with ai talking to eachother, hearing what they say and answering
