Excellent job sir. I just completed restoring my 82 GL500I and can totally appreciate all the time and work involved in this undertaking . I love my GL and feel great pride riding it knowing that I saved a beautiful classic piece of art from falling into the Hands of some boob who would chop it up to make a cafe’ racer POS out of it. 😮
I love this video. It shows what hard work and time can do to remodel most anything out there. And you did an amazing job. Great video as always. I look forward to many more!!
Superb job! Just bought a CX500 Eurosport from '84. Love the bike even though i've only driven it for about 2 hours, because it's already cold where i live in Romania, but riding that bike is an experience in itself. Doing the fork now and some other things to have it ready for spring :)). Cheers mate!
I took the sidecover into my local NAPA store and had them put their paint analyzer on it. They mixed me up a small bottle and it was a near perfect match.
@@me-trooper8570 Thanks for the info! I knew they had that had household paint stores, but not for auto paint. I will have to do that for my bike. Happy riding!
Superb job. Isn't it so satisfying when you stand and look at the work you've done? Well done. ☺
Very satisfying, thank you.

Thank you for the kind words. I like to see them preserved also.

Awesome. Best of luck with it. It's cold here in Maine, USA too. It's a long winter season.
There’s a 79 CX out in my shop right now. It’s becoming a Cafe Racer (slowly).
They are great bikes. Still awesome after after 40 years. You can't beat a Honda. Have fun with it.
Great video! I am restoring the exact same bike right now - same year/model/color. What paint did you use to touch up the tank/side covers?

I also buffed the paint with a light compound and it came back really nicely.

Thanks for the posting, it is good. I have a bike like yours , and it's the same colour. Can you tell me what is the name of the colour of yours ?
It is candy Burgundy according to the sales brochure.
@@me-trooper8570 Many thanks for the reply, really nice of you.
