Hi! Someone just told me you have to take off the flame and not the bottom so the batteries for the candle fit after all! 🎉😂❤ Yay!

It’s true, remove the flame to add the batteries. It will work and on a timer too! They are a great find. I used them as floating ghost candle during Halloween. I will used them at Christmas as well, just add a ribbon and place on the window ledge.

I normally do not like crackle anything but this book is just enchanting to me. How sweet it turned out. I'm going to give it a shot. And your sign is simply delightful. I just subscribed tonight. The metal that oxidizes is copper. Here in Canada our parliament buildings in Ottawa have copper roofs and the beautiful green they turn is gorgeous. Utterly stunning in pictures.

Appreciate so much how you will talk about "mistakes" that get made & how easy they are to fix - especially when you were cutting the multiple pages and they slid and went wonky. I've always thought it was something I was doing wrong, so it was nice to see it WASN'T just me, that it happens to others too.

I absolutely love glitter, and I work with it quite a bit doing nails, but even I agree that DT uses WAY too much. I have been doing custom press ons for a couple of years now, and I have resigned myself to the fact that I'll be finding glitter throughout my ENTIRE home for the rest of my life, but I would like to see DT scale their glitter back a bit. I don't want them to stop using it completely, but I really don't want to clean up THAT much glitter just from laying something down on my table. 😂 But, absolutely beautiful DIYs, hun!! 😍

I just have to say this is my favorite episode you've ever done!!! That little book is perfection!! I'm gonna try making one but I might add a red satin or velvet ribbon to the center to mimic a bookmark. And that hot glue scrollwork is so cute, can't wait to try that too!!! Thank you Holly

Hi Holly, I really love all these projects but the book is my favorite. You mentioned that one of your stencils was bent so I just wanted to share this with you. That happened to several of my stencils and I heated them up with my heat gun and then put something heavy on them like a few books I covered every inch of the warm stencils with the books and left it for a few days and they were straight again so I could use them. Hope this helps someone so they can use the stencils and not have to have unusable craft supplies. I know we all try to save money by getting our supplies at bargain prices. Anyway thanks for all the great diy's.

Beautiful! Everything is made in China now, if it comes from Walmart, Hobby Lobby etc, nearly all the products are labeled made in China, a few of them will say made in the USA but even most of those will say materials made in China or Malaysia and constructed in the USA. That's where all our factories are now because production is cheaper. If we boycotted everything, we would have to make everything by hand. I don't think that would work very well these days.

Good morning Holly , you captured the memory of my childhood, the book transported me to my Christmas as a kid , I remember using the crackle with glue technique in our middle school when we have to craft with practically nothing, the teacher show us different ways to create beautiful things, I remember my first project alone was covering matches boxes with different vintage pictures, it was a hit in our mini Christmas tree , Be blessed ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I agree with you about Temu. If it is about the price of Dollar Tree and I am not in a hurry to get it, I will buy it there. I cannot go into Dollar Tree or that is I rarely go into Dollar Tree. I have chronic leukemia and large crowds make me nervous, so I will go in if there's not a crowd, but that is not very often. So Temu and Amazon are my go to when it comes to shopping... and thrift shops, but again, only if there is not a crowd. 😬
I loved all of the projects from today, but my absolute favorite was the book! 😍Love, love, love the whole thing! I; however, have a really hard time buying printables! LoL🤭 I have always been like that! Every since I could afford to purchase a printer! I cannot help but think why would I buy a printable when there are so many available on the internet and I can print out what I want to use?!? But then... I retired and realized I would not be able to buy ink refills at the drop of a dime, so then I started thinking about purchasing printables.🤔 But I still couldn't make myself feel right about it! LoL Well, brainstorm when you said you were keeping your book forever because I remembered that my adult children treasure the handmade cards I have made and daughter once said she treasures the ones I had colored the images myself. She said she doesn't feel that way about the ones that are made with printed cardstock but keeps those as well.😅 LoL Cause I buy a lot of G45 paper pads and the papers alone make beautiful projects. I started my crafty life as a scrapbooker but once my children turned 18, I lost my models!🙄 LoL😅 For a few years, I scrapbooked weather, favorite things, events... that I attended alone! And lots of other inanimate objects. Not quite the same but just about then, I discovered cardmaking, so I have spent about... OMGosh!🤯 Almost 17 years as a cardmaker and I learned to color all my images with Copic markers! If I do say so myself, I am awesome at that!😎 LoL😅 It was only recently that I started viewing TH-cam when I turned off cable and streaming services to save money since I am now on a fixed income and started viewing TH-cam free movies but TH-cam obviously knew I was a crafter cause it kept offering all these crafty channels to view and I realized, hey! I think I could make something like that too! 🤔Then I saw your channel and fell in love!🥰 But I have already told you that story! Anyway, long story short... hahaha...🤣😂🤣 today, as you said that you were keeping your little book, I realized I could print out a digital stamp or use stamps to create a Christmas scene and color these myself and use that instead of a printable. I will have to test if Copic markers withstand mod podge. 🤔Something to discover on my own cause I have not ever seen that in a TH-cam video. But again, I got off track talking about myself when I came here to talk about you and your wonderful creations! Like I said, they were all wonderful but my most favorite of all was the book. I loved all the details you put into it and it came out so incredibly awesome! I just love it!😍
I have one grandchild and I have purchased beaucoup of those board books for him but I do not think any of them are that small so I may have to pull on some big girl panties and get to Dollar Tree cause I will also need a paperback I can tear apart.😬 Book projects have always been a nightmare for me to make because I am one of those awful people who cannot tear books apart because I am also an avid reader! I have several old paperbacks that have seen much better days but that is because I love those books and read them over and over again. LoL I am such a hot mess! 🤪The idea of making something like that with an image I have colored for my adult children as keepsakes is something I absolutely must make now!🤗 LoL 😅

I use rubberized shelf liner whenever I’m working on a project that slides around. Really works out well and of COURSE you can buy it at the Dollar Tree. Beautiful pieces that you’ve created. I can5 wait to try my hand at them😊
