Facts!!!
My younger brother bought these for me (the O.G black and gold pair) back in the 90's. it was instant love. The original DMX system back then was hella comfortable and set the standard for what comfort level I should expect from a sneaker. Yes the bottom bit that wraps around the heal was reflective, not just the piping. I loved wearing it with the laces open so Iversons name would show. I'm pretty sure I was the only guy in Papua New Guinea with Answer 1.

These were ahead of their time not only are they a bball shoe but they also fit in with the balenciaga/stacked sneakers of today. So perfect timing for this release from reebok.
Reebok needs to bring out the Answer 2, With the DMX Lite. Btw had these in black and gold 7th grade. Answer 2 8th grade! ‘97 then ‘98!

I remember when these came out when I was in middle school,this was when I was still living Virginia in 98,99...I always wanted a pair never owned but I most certainly will cop them now

2 years later I finally got these grails! Mine feel really comfy, I checked the dmx i pack and is pretty filled so I'm guessing Reebok doesn't fill all their i packs the same, because the one on my white/silver Answer V feels pretty dead but the one on the white/black V lows and this one feel amazing. Materials are just as amazing as you said. If only Reebok made the IVs the same way...

I remember getting 2 pairs from Sneaker Stadium for $20 each. I loved these shoes and of course mom brought them big as hell
I still have the original 1997 black and gold that i only wore them one time in my basketball gym and them put them back in the box. The reason i didnt wear them again is because i was in highschool and i remember thinking these were the most comfortable shoes i have ever put my feet in. Really the best feeling for my feet i have ever felt! So i didnt want to ruin them thinking i would just put them on every once in a while to feel the cushion again from time to time. But i never did. I still have them looking brand new with the translucent bottoms. Love these! Definitely will not try them on now since im afraid they may fall apart. Lol
To this day i still believe i have never felt a shoe that comfortable and i literally have over 500 pairs of shoes(Most basketball), which my wife is not a fan of.
A definite grail! I have been waiting FOREVER for these to be re-released. I remember when these released back in high school and always wanting a pair. Second favorite sneaker of all time right behind the red toe questions.
I had the blue patent leather version in high school. I still think about them often and it's been over 20 years since I've had them. They were pretty sweet.
Even though I'm not a Reebok fan, the Questions and The Answer 1s were my favs of the Iverson line! Still remember the commercials....and me "practicing" the moves. LOL!!!

I played in these joints back in the day. Most comfortable basketball cushioning at the time. I can't wait until these drop in the states and relive my ballin days when I was a young buck!
I just bought myself like 4 different pairs, including this one because I never got to wear them in middle school when they were popular (my parents and I in turn were broke) . Plus I actually like retroactively wearing clothes and styles I wore in middle school and highschool except with a modern twist.
That is a gorgeous shoe.
Had them as a teenager and wore them so much the white paint on the leather rubbed off. One of my favs as a kid.

I had these when they first came out and THEY were COMFORTABLE! Great pair.
Bought two pair in 1998. Wore one pair and still have the other in the box. I was 14 back then and knew that they would be awesome to have later in life. What sold me was the commercial he made for them. Where he does his cross over then a double turn with the ball moving. Thought u would be able to do the same move with the shoes. Lol

I got the Black and white in 2014, before they did the rerelease. I luckily, ordered them online from a legit source and got the original materials I believe. With black socks, they are some of the sickest shoes you will see, and comfortable too💯🙌🏾

I had the same reaction to these almost to a tee. In love with them in 8th grade and even deeper now. I agree with you about the gold on the sides and bottoms. Wish they were still like the originals but still love love love this shoe

Feels like middle school all over again
Damn. Love these. These are actually really close to the OG’s. I still have my OG’s. Only differences are like u said, the non translucent gold outsole and the dmx pack. The reflective back part actually was just the piping part. It was a lot thicker though and the gold side pods were painted on, but a lot more metallic than what’s on those. Still sick, though. I’d cop in a heartbeat cuz I can’t wear my OG’s anymore.
Finally became available in Canada,so glad Reebok finally came out with the retro.

I’m with you man, I’ve always wanted these in the red white color way. Never thought I’d get em. 97 my two favorite shoes ever came out Jordan XIII and these. When I was a kid the only ones I could get were the blue ones and everyone made fun of me. The air system isn’t the same you’re right, on mine there’s no air transfer to the toe, I just feel it on my heel and the sides of my heel for some reason.
I bought these back in the day to go with my Niners gear! So when Jodi mentioned that, I just 🤣🤣🤣 AI kicks in Niners colors was a win win

I didn’t know these came out until this week I just happen to see them in the store. The answer IV was always my favorite Iverson shoe then the questions. The Answer 1 I vaguely remember. I remember it sitting everywhere boy while. Are used to see those at Modell‘s sporting goods all the time sitting next to the adidas Kobe shoe that look like bullets.
My team got these shoes in ‘98 for the Reebok Invitational tournament in Toronto. Originally DMX was crazy comfortable, but the air transfer system killed some ankles - mine included.
Maaaan I had these OG - I'm from the UK and was on holiday in NYC when they dropped so got them! They were super comfy!! Sucks they'll probably never release here again!!

Back in the late 90s I used to work for reebok, used to get all the Iverson/shaq/(Kemp) for pennies. Missed these shoes, miss reebok as a brand.
Had the black & red pair size 8.5 like 2 years back since i missed the black & white pair in 2013 but finally ordered this colorway a half size down cause 1 foot would slide but hopefully the size 8 do justice & happy i’m getting a og colorway

I had the Black and Gold back in the day. They were fire then, they are fire now. Disappointed about the DMX unit in them though. The originals were comfortable. But they were a health hazard back in the day, the tread had you slipping and sliding on a smooth surface like a basketball court.
