This is 100% facts. I've learned I don't need to take a trade everyday. I can wait for my planned set up and then take the trade. No need to force trades, the market will let us know when it's time to enter and get the bag!

Yesss, agreed. My rookie mistake was thinking that because it was a job, I had to do it Mon-Fri. Now i mostly analyze Monday, possibly Tuesday, then probably execute on Wed, maybe thursday, usually Friday lol
I do futures, s&p500. What are your favorite days to trade?
Another thing ive found most useful is to always trade the s&p500, so that ive actually learned what her market behaves like. There arent usually any surprises this way, but its still never boring.

Spending time in front of chart during market hours is so important, but what most of us do is trade when there is no clear setup during this period because of lack of patience and boredom.
So essential to trade only when setup present and be at desk during market hours waiting for it.

I needed this. It defines the importance of having a good strategy with rules. And discipline... or you define a strategy for different kinds of days. As long as you know what youre looking for on any particular day it can be traded, but if youre not following a system thats where the emotion and poor decision making comes in. But if you have awell back tested strat that works for you and you see consistency, then it makes it less emotional and just a matter of patience waiting for the setup. I think its ok to have multiple strategies for different kinds of days, they just need to come with discipline
