Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial. I am going to try to do something similar today and I was looking for a tutorial to help me get started. So glad I found your channel!
It takes some time...but what part are you getting hung up on? I have to go to work in a few, but if I can make anything more clear so that you can do this, please let me know. We spent too much 💰💰on these machines to not do what we know can be done. 🌞
Hi! Normally with the files I have, the placement stitch is the first 'run' stitch or regular line stitch that is part of the file. If by chance I need a placement stitch, and the file does not come with one, I do a trace to make sure the fabric will be big enough.
No, once I hoop it- I leave it hooped until it is complete. Ironing creases to mark my points before hooping or floating and then lining those creases up with the little bumps in the hoop allow me to make sure it is lined up. I hope that makes sense. Thank you for watching 🌞
I do apologize, I just watched the video again and realized I didn't include how I line the shirt up with the hoop. I will try to do a short video later to show just how I iron and line up my points.
You're welcome! Yes. Normally I do use heat n bond lite or Pellon 805 Wonder Under on the back side of the applique fabric. I was rushing with this one. Apologies for not adding that.
Wow. Maybe they really did know the process and were just trying to sell machines... You can definitely do applique as long as the design fits your hoop.
@@SouthernAudacity the shop that sold me this was full of old ladies I don’t believe she knew it could be done been before I bought the machine I did my research and I had already seent 👀that it could I said ima take a a jockey up there to show them my walk myself into to teaching a class for their 🧐. They make quilts though and taught me a lot about sewing and quilting 🥰
No, not all will have placements. It depends on the design "type" and the digitizer who creates them. Most applique do have placements, but I have run across some rare ones that only had the tack down and final stitch.
I purchased the design from Rivermill Embroidery. They are on Etsy and have a stand alone website. It comes with the whole alphabet in a couple of sizes. 🌞
Hi! I am using 100% cotton fabric. Fry check can be used around the edges where I don't use Heat N Bond ..I didn't use it for this shirt, but I mentioned it somewhere around 8min 15secs mark. 🌞
If it is something that will be washed time and time again...or something that will be sold...yes, definitely use something like heat n bond lite to prevent frying.
Thank you for this tutorial. I just purchased an Innovis NQ 1600e was able to successfully make this on the first try thanks to your video.
Congrats on your new machine!! I am glad that this video was helpful!!!!
Had mines for a few years My favorite machine ❤ but they have a 1700 or 1800 now but I’m good right here 😅
Thank you for such clear instructions!! Your a good teacher
Thank you.
Beautiful! You are a good teacher, easy to follow. Thanks so much for your instructions and inspiration!
Do you have a video that shows how you set the shirt up in the hoop? It looks so neat and secure. This is where I have trouble
This shows how I hoop a sweashirt on the single needle. th-cam.com/video/ZZ-o3fZUz2c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YlhpIn1pf5-NTznE

Great job! I still can’t figure out how to do this on my Inno-vis 1400e 🤣🤣

Greetings. How do you do a placement stitch?

I think it looks good love. Good job 👏🏾
Thank you!
It looks very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you
Very nice. Thanks for the video!
Very nice work
Thank you!
when cutting around the fabric did you have to take the shirt off the hoop, and how did you make sure it was lined up properly?
No, once I hoop it- I leave it hooped until it is complete. Ironing creases to mark my points before hooping or floating and then lining those creases up with the little bumps in the hoop allow me to make sure it is lined up. I hope that makes sense. Thank you for watching 🌞

Thanks for sharing. This is fabulous. My question is do you put heat and bond lite on your fabric?
You're welcome! Yes. Normally I do use heat n bond lite or Pellon 805 Wonder Under on the back side of the applique fabric. I was rushing with this one. Apologies for not adding that.
I love this because when I bought my machine the store swore me up and down I couldn’t do appliqué with it. I said oh yes I can 😌

Do all designs come with “placement” stitches?

Where did you get this design? Or did you create it yourself? I’d love to get the whole alphabet like this.
I purchased the design from Rivermill Embroidery. They are on Etsy and have a stand alone website. It comes with the whole alphabet in a couple of sizes. 🌞
@@SouthernAudacity Awesome! Thank you so much!!
Love this!! How can I find this design font ?
Thank you! Search for Rivermill Embroidery. They have an Etsy and a stand alone website.
It’s nice to see you not use spray adhesive I try not to if I don’t have to to keep gunk off my needles but it is a little dangerous though 😅
🤣😂I know... but sometimes you have to live a little dangerously.

Thanks good video
Thank you 🌞
What material are you using for the applique?
How does the cotton do without adding the heat and bond?
Hi! I am using 100% cotton fabric. Fry check can be used around the edges where I don't use Heat N Bond ..I didn't use it for this shirt, but I mentioned it somewhere around 8min 15secs mark. 🌞
so no adhesive is needed for the appliqué?
