- This video walks you through the steps to identify where the problem of a inoperable power recliner, sofa or loveseat. Once the issue is identified, it will show you how to fix. Depending on the problem, new parts may be required which can be obtained through an authorized Best Home Furnishings retailer. We recommend this dealer perform the maintenance.

Unplugging the base motor electric unit while connected and power on did the trick for me, if the motor ever does die thanks to this video I became more aware of the parts, thanks!

One of my electric recliners makes a crack/skip at some point in the beginning of the opening or almost clossing. It does not go smooth in one move like the other side. What could be the problem?
I bought a new powered recliner that we 1st used to put the leg rest up and then it never went back down took all the wires apart and replugged in every connector and still won’t move. Taking it back today for a replacement I hope the next one we’ll be ok. I should just get a regular reclining but this one looks so nice
Sorry to hear about the issue with your recliner. Typically there are less problems, especially over the life of a recliner, with a powered version versus a manual one. The fix should be easy for the store, so hopefully you won't have any more problems.

Recliner stopped working. Noticed transformer had flashing green light. Unplugged everything I could think of. Now solid green light on transformer and chair works again. Is transformer getting bad?

You forgot to get the ID# off the bottom. Customer service will not send parts without it.

Question. If top part head rest works but the bottom does kick out what could that be?

It sounds like it could either be the switch or the motor that is causing the headrest not to work. We recommend contacting your dealer from which you purchased it to come out and troubleshoot. We'll work with the store to replace any parts that are determined to be bad.
My controller quit working and the recliner is in the full up position. Is there any way to manually lower the chair? Added note I amdisabled.

My power recliner has power. Everything lights up but the buttons just stopped working and the head tilt is stuck in the tilt position and the foot recliner is not working at all. When I press the power buttons it it makes a a noise like it's trying to work but it won't. Any suggestions??

What type of recliner can I get my nephew who's close to 350 and I know will fall asleep on it. So that it doesn't break "The name of a specific chair if you know of one"

My Best recliner sometimes just stops working. The hand control lights always work fine. The cords are connected properly. I have tried both new hand controls and a different power supply. What is the issue?

@@raffinataonline It does not have a reset button. To reset, we suggest not only unplugging it from the wall, but unplugging the DIN plug as well. You can see what this looks like at the 0:25 mark of the video.
My problem is different. The recliner power hangs a foot from the bottom of the cycle. It also hangs about a foot from the top of the cycle. I can get it to work again by pulling and jiggling the wires at the back of the chair. I surmised it was a short of loose wire, but I have traced every wire and connection and can find no obvious problem. This is a two-seat loveseat. The other chair works fine. Anyone else had this problem?

Bought new transformer worked for 5 minutes. Is something shortening it out?

Can you email support@besthf.com a summary of the problem along with the 13-digit ID number? The ID number can be found on the underside of the recliner on a white piece of paper about the size of a dollar bill.
