In my opinion, Ronnie took this song to where it needed to go for present day. I heard more then one reactor who knows the original say that they didn’t recognize how serious this song was until Falling in Reverse did it. The visuals, vocals, strings, and the screaming at the end was perfection.
And went viral again recently and is now charting again because of Ronnie's cover. So happy that both Papa Roaches and Ronnie's versions are popular again. A wonderful song being reintroduced to the younger generation.

Papa roaches version was great for the time, but for the message it felt more light hearted imo. I really love this version tho and how the pain expressed matches the message. And I think it's such a great time for this version.

Reminds me of when Johnny Cash covered NIN Hurt. Two extremes of the emotional spectrum, the original is bitter and angry while the cover is a bit more deep and contemplative

So in my opinion the original was the view of the world from an angry teenager mad at everything around them. Fir's version is an adult screaming for help from the world around them!!!! Great cover of this song I don't think it could have been done any better!!!!!

Not a cover, re-imagined. That term is so good for what this actually is. I used to bump this song all the time in high school and never understood that it was quite that deep until this version. The original feels more like anger, this is sadness and up for my favorite song ever already
