Seeing those Continental DC-10s there makes me think that 3 years later, one would shed a piece of metal onto the runway which in turn would blow a tide on a departing AF Concorde, ultimately bringing it down. So crazy.
Also - that Air France 767 is extremely rare - they only had 1 or 2 I believe, leased for a short time.
They operated a total of ten 767s in their history, split between two different periods: two 762ERs and eight 763ERs, all acquired through mergers.
The exact DC-10 that dropped the metal is in one of these videos somewhere, along with the 757 that would eventually end up being United 93 on 9/11.

This 747 crashed in bagram in 2013.
And it looks really dirty, altough it was 4 years old back then
Beautiful classic airliners and airlines.
Aeroflot’s planes in this video is the best, what can exist
Nostalgie, nostalgie…
Très intéressant de voir les avions il y’a déjà plus de 20 ans…
Woww it’s a throwback… so many airlines that no longer exist. At some point the jumbolino BAe 146 was a must have, even Air France had it in it’s fleet with Air France Express brand… nice video
0:51 still in service 💪🏻
I flew into and out of Paris in 1997, this is wonderful and brings back so many memories!
Amazing footage thanku so much love and god bless x
VARIG MD 11 of Brazil, 777-222, A319 Swissair, 777-248ER all fresh from factory, A310 Aeroflot with France Register, AOM MD 80s, ...Wow
There’s the Northwest Airlines DC-10 plane departing to either Detroit or Minneapolis-St. Paul. There’s also the US Airways Boeing 767 plane departing to either Philadelphia or Charlotte. And there’s the Continental Airlines DC-10 departing to either Houston-Intercontinental or even Newark.
17:17 interesting to see the Avianca 767 with a nose cone from AAL. 😮
It’s strange because even though that registration looks like it could’ve been tied to American Airlines, this aircraft was never operated by them at any point.
17:09 SAS Boeing 767-300ER
Interesting to see 747 used by Asian, African airlines like THAI, PIA, Gabon in those days..Paris has many exotic airlines landing there. Angola, Tahiti..Also visible Lufthansa's star alliance livery tail ! S of Sabena (ex-Brussels airlines). Wow
This must be younger than 1997. The aircraft 9A-CTG @00.48 was manufactured in 1998
Old 👴 but gold 💰
10:52 MD 11 Varig Brazil PP - VPP ex MD 11 EI - CDK Garuda Indonesia
Those images are not from 1997… at least 1998. The Air France Boeing 777-200 got into the fleet for summer season of 1998.
Aviation used to be so good all these jumbos and tri jet planes all we ever see now is a 737 or an a320
not true at all. Idk in what city you live but new planes came out and aviation is still very diverse
MD-11 VARIG ❤️❤️❤️
One like for ANA landing
4:08 oh this same 747 crashed in 2013… national airlines flight 102 :(
Varig pra sempre em nossos corações
4:38 Is that airline still around?
AOM was merged into Air Liberté in 2001. With Air Liberté being liquidated in 2003 funny enough. So sadly no.
5:20 first flight date for that 777 is 12/03/1998 and this video is titled 1997 🤔
A video about CDG and no Concorde? thats wack
AIr Transat's L1011!! :O
Miss 3:15 thai Airways livery
Poor Alitalia 😢
The air algerie ❤
Poor air Gabon 🇬🇦 😭😭
Why are some planes taxiing with push carts
They're not. They're being towed, either for placement or for maintenance.
This vid kinda weird every plane here is either old or dirty especially the AF aircraft
Give the soccer plane a rest, how many times do you have to show it?
Never did like when USAir changed it's name to USAirways. The original name was classy. Just like the liveries, these companies have forgotten how to market themselves and develope their own personality. Leave well enough alone. But it doesn't matter now,; USAirways merged with American. I miss the "old" days of air travel.
this was before 9/11
Non.ils n'etaient pas loués , ils appatenaient à l'UTA , et ont été intégrés à Air-France lorsque l'UTA a dispaue .
Non brussel air lines a remplacée Sabena
