So it sounds as though, as you describe it, one might expect a relatively (compared to EDR) expensive XDR solution to displace EDR in those environments that wish to spend the money. You would not use both. Correct?

I would decide on the vendor specific features being offered by XDR or EDR. How both or either of them suits the requirements at hand.
