@@DutyDynamo Chelsea have created something of a problem for managers with 2 CM's who cost more than 100m. However in possession it seems Maresca likes a 3-2-2-3 a double pivot and two 8''s with wingers creating the width. I believe Enzo, Caicedo, Lavia will rotate for the double pivot largely controlling games. Palmer and Chukwuemeka as the 8's. Waiting to see where Nkunku plays, with his ability to come deep and his great link up play. Nico Jax going wide left. Or Nkunku will be an 8/10 with Cole behind Jackson

People talking about not selling Conor but Carney can't be sold a person with so much talent....Someone like Casadei might have huge talent which we will probably never see then end up regretting not playing him even a little....We will waste a lot of quality in that midfield coz of that Enzo Caicedo price tags which make both of them think they are Tony kroos and Modric level
@@elishafry476 I believe Ugochukwu to have a high ceiling looks a very talented player, as you say Casadei and of course Andrey Santos has had a lot of praise and ended the season well at Strasbourg. This supposed double pivot and two 8's is a promising sign for getting our talented crop of midfielders more game time. Chukwuemeka will shine when given the chance. I'm a Gallagher fan and believe he improved on the ball towards the end of last season but if we need to sell players I'd much rather keep Chalobah over Conor. We have many midfielders full of promise. We are not so blessed at CB. Trevoh has my full confidence as our best CB at this moment it would be a big mistake to sell him because he will be show his quality wherever he plays next year.

Tosin (if you have watched Fulham is a very very very good CB… comfortable on the ball, (Man City youth product) and you can see it in his style of plying… I’m telling ya, could even be better than John Stones.
When Reece is fit he’s THE best RB in the world, no shade at Gusto he’s been absolutely phenomenal for us this season but Reece is Reece and he is different gravy

The thing is with Petrovic that you pretty much know what you’re getting. With Sanchez, anything could happen and a mistake always feels inevitable.
Another good upload. I agree more with Josh's line up but I'd have Noni in the RW spot. Olise seems very similar to Cole Palmer, it'd be nice to have a varied attacking profile. But of course it'd be down to who's pulling their weight.
Another shout in the no 8 role is Carney, he's a brilliant AM if he can stay fit.
These line ups just shows how good a squad we've got even without the signings, with a few more players and key players available we should be challenging honestly even if we most likely don't win it.
We've invested way too much to not be getting something progressive from the team. This would be our 8th year of not challenging for the PL. We need to pull our socks up!

Having watched a lot on Marasca my concern is his inflexibility. I do hope he becomes more pragmatic and basis his decisions on the situations he's faced with and the people he has in his team at that time. Considering the last few seasons injuries are a significant concern too. Poch was never able to play our best team once. Will Lavia and Forfana, James and Nunkunku ever play on the same pitch at the same time?
We desperately need a new keeper, a backup left back and either a back up striker or new number 1 (Jackson in my view is under ratted). Chukwemaka is under valued too, it would be good to see him get more game time as I could see he could grow into an important player for us. Here's hoping we are smart and strategic with new signings, as in reality we don't need many, but we do need consistency.

I believe with enzo being able to dictate play from deeper areas he will be a better player allowing caicedo to press higher up the pitch. With reece or cucurella inverting to give defensive support to enzo and that could be a way to get the most out of both caicedo and enzo

How you can debate Enzo being the starting 11 next season. The club want one of their most expensive signings to work. They want to build the team around hiim and Maresca's system is set up to make him be that quarter back passer. He's built to flourish in a system with structure so he knows where players are meant to be. Regardless of how good lavia is, it's likely when he was being interviewed for the job, he made getting the best out of enzo a key pirority and the owners lapped that shit up

I complained about colwill playing left back last season but he would be more of a left sided cb so I've gone with him in there, badiashile I think could play a lot for his height and maresca likes his cb stepping up when the opposition try to beat the press with long balls. Fofana when fit has to play I would like to see reece james play there though so we can get caicedo doing the inverting (I know it will never happen) which allows us to get lavia and enzo on the pitch with him, I think the 3 don't really work together I don't see caicedo or lavia able to play the 8/10 role and the perfect player for that role is palmer, sterling or mudryk on the left I went with sterling just because I would hope that having played in a similar system under full fat pep and also not being selected for the euros that we can see him back to his best, madueke suits the system could see angelo given a chance if olise isn't signed, and then nkunku up top I think he suits playing through the middle more than a winger

So, joey and Josh have made their assumptions based on potential rather than fitness and robustness. Though nothing wrong with their assumptions, nonetheless wishful thinking does not in reality pays dividend. Both Joey and Josh should have named backups for the positions of their choices.
