Excellent voice quality, microphone use and images of close-ups that are usually bungled by demonstrations. Thanks! Would you do this video again, but in the field where each setting and value comes from a real demonstration? My new Kestrel 5700 Elite with Applied Ballistics and Link will make much better sense more quickly as my beginner skills will see the actions related to your verbiage and be able to understand.
I noticed in your video your fingers above finger groove...with fingers to high up you can get an inaccurate reading on environmental readings because sensors are at the top. ..Not sure if this matters on easy mode but kestrels need to read the environment an get acclimated. Takes like 10 mins. Keeping unit in direct sunlight can also warm up unit so temps could be off a few degrees.
Two questions: 1) When will the new Firmware 1.17 be out, and 2) I own a Kestrel 5700 Elite with AB software install. What do I have to do to get the new firmware installed, will that be done automatically or do I need to connect the 5700 to the app I have installed on my iPad? The Easy Mode is a much needed improvement. Thanks!!!
Do you have the 5700 Elite with Link? I believe you'd need the little USB dongle device to put in your computer. That will help upload the most current software.
I have July 2021 firmware on my 5700X yet despite it costing the most of any Kestrel it doesn't have that "Easy Mode" feature. Nor does it have a 5700X specific manual. Nor does it have Accuracy First manual, even though the features are on the Kestrel.
This is used when wind changes are somewhat sporatic. You can setup this feature to give windage corrections on your display for say a 5 or 10 mph wind call.
This will display two seperate wind calls adjustments on your display for example corrections for a 5 mph and 15 mph wind. They can be manually inputed for any value.

Can you use “easy mode” with the Sig 3000 BDX binos?

You are correct. The X model does not have Easy Mode.
I think they got rid of easy mode. It was useless.
Se puede utilizar con pistola rifle de aire PCP ?
Wow... Nothing easy about that at all. 😳😮
Easy mode would be about perfect with the range card feature added
Easy mode updates Target A in the system. Meaning all the data is now there if you switch to Ballistics mode and want the Range Card Data.
What is wind 1 vs wind 2

it gives average speed and max speed correction at that target.
