Ranger is currently not at its best, there are plenty other classes that do the same but better. It used to be really strong but Maehwa pretty much outperforms it in every aspect and has a similar role. Nonetheless, just like any other class in the game it can do well if you got the gear and the skill to make it work.
If ranger wasn't so awkwardly placed between all the classes right now it could have been good. I still think she had the fastest 100%-0% hp damage though. I stopped playing her since on ranger you need quite a bit of gear to make it work I will get back to it once I have tet rosar or parrying dagger the class is still enjoyable to me.
I'm enjoying sorc more because DK has no awakening, come awakening I'll probably stop playing sorc all around because I don't enjoy the class outside 1v1.
I play with helrick 99.9% of the time simply because overall it outdamages any other offhand, but kutum with my gear is also a very good alternative, I suggest skipping nouver on sorc and going for helrick/kutum/rhik depending on what you're planning on doing, nouver is pretty bad on sorc. Even on PvE kutum and helrick are superior, Kutum for low evasion mobs and helrick for places like Pila Ku, you can see on my other video with the clearspeed sample how fast accuracy makes you in Pila Ku, and although that clip is taken in Kutum, Helrick is even faster, the difference is that Kutum's DP helps you sustain better through Pila Ku barely taking any damage and not needing to do any filler skills for hp or potting, but for that to work out you need a lot of accuracy, otherwise Kutum is weak. I used Nouver in this video because Ctrl is squishy (263 DP sorc) and no matter what offhand I used he'd have got melted regardless, but Nouver helps you trade harder through block and it's a bit better than helrick in that case, but if you can't afford the luxury of having every offhand, Helrick all the way.
