A while back, I poured myself a 10, Skye, Storm and Port Ruighe. I couldn’t decide which was the best, but as long as I have the Port Ruighe and one of the other’s in stock, I’m happy 😊
I said it in the discord, but I'll say it here too - Talisker is and will always be on my shelf (in the Storm or 10 variants) - it always hits me just right - i've been stocking it for the entirety of my whisky journey
Bill I love Talisker! I get sea salt, brine, a couple of types of smoke - cigar, campfire put out - in mild forms, a nice sea spray wafts over me as I sip any Talisker, lemongrass. I love the pepper spice I get with Talisker - this expression and with every expression. I prefer the 10 and the 18. I have all 3 on my bar and I am happy about that! The Storm is a lovely Talisker and we pay $100 before taxes but I think it's well worth it! Excellent scotch! Terrific review! Cheers!
I do like the Distiller's edition better, but I really enjoyed the Storm as well. It's also the best scotch I've found to mix with Coke. I think it's the saltiness playing off the sweetness that really elevates it.
This was one of the first smoky whiskys I bought. I liked it a lot at first. But as I dove deeper into peated Scotch, when I came back to this it felt a bit sharp and lackluster to me, seemed like it was missing something. I like the cask finishing in one of the Talisker Distillers editions I purchased, adds another dynamic and fills out the full palate to me.
Enjoyed the review 👍 If you get the chance, try the Dark Storm, it takes this to another level - great smokiness along with fruity sweetness. Thanks for sharing 🥃🥃
Hey Bill - maybe it’s the storm theme in the video, but was just thinking about “if I lost my whiskey collection to some disaster what five whiskeys would I buy first to rebuild it?” I’d have to think about that, but curious what you’d pick if you had to start your collection from scratch?

Have both! Great idea. Thanks for sharing and I am enjoying the Storm right now. cheers!

I only had new Talisker 10. I liked it. That old label of Talisker storm was super cool

It's a fantastic whisky for sure. Glad you enjoyed it! I'm thinking a Talisker Vertical
Hi again! I just watched this and love Talisker 10 (thanks to you!). Now I need to try Storm for sure. Love your reviews, thank you again.
Yes it is
Love the Storm. This and the 10 are staples on my shelves.
Storm is the only Talisker I've bought: I find the 10 too peppery, but (to me) Storm is more like a mellower Laphroaig...
After seeing several 'iffy' reviews of Talisker 10, we tried it and loved it!

Smokey scotch with coke is better than you'd think!

Funny. I've only had the storm and 10. I want the skye

Interesting thought! Could make a fun video. Thanks for the idea!
Great video 👍
Thanks 👍
Good stuff! Both this and the 10 are way more expensive by me. I'll have to get another Storm to try. Cheers!
You should!
you should try the Dark Storm.
I completely agree
Next step - review Talisker Skye...
Very hard for me to find. I may need to import it
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary It's really not worth it.
Sounds like someone may be a Talisker “Fan Boy” 😉
I may just be
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary That would make 2 of us
Some people like evil? I work at Talisker, there was no T10 when you say…
Sorry, could you clarify? I do a good amount of research on these episodes. If i got something wrong I'd like to correct myself.
🤤🤤👌👍👌👍🍻🥃😎✌️🎉🙌
Did I miss something? You bought this in 2001 and you're reviewing it now in 2024? Wtf, that's a long time
2021
I really think I'm going to load up on various Taliskers and then do a vertical
