Hi, I know this is old but I'm really looking into this gimbal. On another note though, could you tell me what the song is? Thanks! keep up the good work
Amazing review, thank you! I really liked the "hidden feature" of putting the video head directly on the foot, I never would have thought of doing that! Based off this review I've just ordered one from Amazon.
Thanks. If you want to buy one our friends at Cameragrip currently have it on special offer so have a look at the link below: www.cameragrip.com/manfrotto-mvmxpro500-fluid-video-head-monopod-with-fluidtech-base/
No problem thanks, its a great Monopod and it looks like Cameragrip still have it on offer www.cameragrip.com/manfrotto-mvmxpro500-fluid-video-head-monopod-with-fluidtech-base/
Toptastic review...far better than the 'normal boys with toys' unbox vlog.....grrrrrr! This video was far more informative and objective. The only downside for me was the irritating looped Muzak .... Double grrrrrrr ! Could you try some smooth jazz or calm classical instead?
If you already have a good fluid head and want a Monopod like this one with the fold out feet take a look at the link below: www.cameragrip.com/manfrotto-mvmxproa5-aluminium-5-section-xpro-video-monopod-with-fluidtech-base/
Hey!!!....a fantastic review, i am definitley getting one of these ....i have the MVM500A Monopod by Manfrotto.....will the base from the pro fit on the bottom of my one???
To be totally honest I am not 100% certain but I would expect it to. I don't have access to a MVM500A Monopod to double check but I can't envisage them changing the thread size. Full details of the new MVMXPRO500 Monopod can be found on the link below: www.cameragrip.com/manfrotto-mvmxpro500-fluid-video-head-monopod-with-fluidtech-base/
Yes the head can be removed from this monopod and could then be used on a slider but it does not have a built in pan so I would only use it for mounting the camera and tilting.
Nice review. Can you pan it from the head? For example if I want to use the head on a tripod, can I Pan from the head just like the old 500 head? Because I read somewhere that you cannot pan from the head only from the base, but you seems to pan from the head when you put it directly to the feet..
The video head on this Monopod does not have its own individual panning motion which the standard MVH500AH Video Head does have. The reason for this is you would usually pan with the whole Monopod through the Fluidtech system. If you put the head directly onto the feet you would probably still be best doing it with the Fluidtech system loose but if you don't fully tighten the head up it is also possible to actually pan it on the screw. I would suggest panning the whole unit through the Fluidtech system is probably the better option.
Watched a few of the reviews of this monopod, but you did the very best out of it! Many thanks!
Best review I've seen on this, didn't even know you could remove the bottom.. Thanks.
Really great and thorough video, and not too long, thanks!
Oooh thanks for those secrets. Huge help!
Nice tip on the mini tripod.
Nice technical review. How about the actual footage when using the monopod? Is it stable enough compared to using a tripod?

Black Steel, It's not. You can't fit the base. I had to buy a new one too.
Thanks for the reply Jean-Marc Joseph!!!
TU for this video.
One question : is the head can be off, I mean removable for use it on a slider for example ?
TU for answer me. Regards

Hi Do you know any adapter plate that goes with this monopod and I also can use with zhyiun crane plus? I am confused to get the right one. Thanks
great vid thanks.
Thank you man really appreciate :))
Nice review.

Ohh I see.. that's too bad because I was planning to use the head on other tripod or slider.. Thanks for the answer.
