About this game:
When Isaac’s mother starts hearing the voice of God demanding a sacrifice be made to prove her faith, Isaac escapes into the basement facing droves of deranged enemies, lost brothers and sisters, his fears, and eventually his mother.
Gameplay
The Binding of Isaac is a randomly generated action RPG shooter with heavy Rogue-like elements. What NL fails to recognize about salsa is that there is two types of salsa.
There is the 'chunky' diced vegetable salsa, where scooping is definitely viable and appropriate, then there is the 'smooth' pureed salsa, where everything was put in a blender so there is no vegetables to grab. In the second case, dipping is the only solution, as scooping smooth salsa is nonsensical and messes up the ratio unproportionately.
I recommend YSAC`s video on the topic he really presents the issue well along with great visuals
I much prefer the smooth salsa because I love the taste and spice of a good salsa but I can't deal with the texture of the veg chunks. And you're right, that's absolutely a dipping salsa, not a scooping salsa.
I'm a Mexican and NL's lack of knowledge of Mexican food makes me sad.
I still scoop the smooth salsa.
I'm from Canada and I feel like I need to ablige NL a bit here. Canadians are obviously not that closely related to the Mexican culture. I have cousins in San Francisco and that is literally the only exposure I've ever had (street names and ish). We all know that Chinese food is not exactly authentic in our geographical reagion but we all have our own opinions and viewpoints. At least he knows what he likes and at least we try and have a small taste of the worlds culture. Hate is bad taste.
Here's the secret to making fantastic scrambled eggs:
Add 2 eggs per person (3 if that person is a teen)
Add in about 1/4 the volume of eggs worth of milk
Add in a spoonful of really spicy salsa
Use a whisk or a fork to aerate the eggs
Cook some bacon in a pan
Use the same pan with the bacon fat for the eggs
Add the eggs, cook, and stir
Remove eggs when there is no liquid in the bottom of the pan
Allow to sit for 5 min before consumption to finish cooking
Perfect eggs, every time.
How does this relate to the video? NL is an egg and he talked about eating tons of salsa.
I do something similar, but I cut the bacon into bite size pieces and just cook them into the eggs. Chives are also really good in eggs
Who the fuck only eats two or three eggs? My brother and sister-in-law have 3 kids(ages 0,3, and 5) and they cook like 20 eggs every morning. The kids eat at least 3 each, and my brother probably eats 8 or 9.

I am a scooper when it comes to cheese and salsa but it depends on the dip usually. Some dips overpower the chip flavor.

For me, a tortilla chip is an edible spoon that carries the salsa to my mouth, while adding a nice salty crunch to it. I'm totally with you on the two jars of salsa to one bag of chips.

Salsa scooper, Seeing how I am a vegetable guy. I enjoy the chunks and bursts of flavor. The veggies soak up the juice of the salsa and gives it a more meaty feel. However in the end we all know you should pay that extra $2.50 for the queso dip in a restaurant.
Im a dip scoop hybrid. I dip at first, covering an entire face of the chip in tomatoe, then at the last second before I pull out, I scoop up a decent sizing of onion/pepper. Boom.
If its an authentic restaurant style salsa, yes i will make sure that there is fresh veggies on the tortilla chip, but i always find the jarred salsa veggies to be way too soggy so i usually just dip those.

I'm a scooper, BUT, only after I have blended the salsa because I don't want to waste and I don't like the texture of vegetables. No dry end jar veggies being thrown away here. I believe that this is truly the best solution for dippers, same great taste, with none of the waste.

NL you're right. In the cosmic sense, Earth is tiny. Solar system wise? It's still pretty damn small. Of course due to the universe expanding at an accelerating rate, there are possibly an infinite amount of planets which are likely to be both larger or smaller than Earth, so you can't truly say that compared to all other planets, Earth is small. However, to the largest ones we know, in addition to stars, Earth is tiny.

It really depends on the salsa. For Herdez & other chunky salsas, scoop it 100%. Otherwise you just get the watery part. For smooth salsas, either way is acceptable, but the dunk may actually be required if this style is muy caliente. There's an awesome hole-in-the-wall restaurant I go to where the green salsa is blended fresh green jalapeños (seeds & all) and almost nothing else, and the red is even spicier. If you go in scoopin', you're gonna have a bad day.
I'm a salsa scooper, but two jars of salsa per bag is crazy. Anywhere between one and two bags per jar is optimal
Alright, so salsa is a delicate operation for me. If I fail, take the dip, don't make a show of it. What I do is I go for the half scoop. Scoop about three fourths and let one fourth fall off. You get your chip juiced and a few vegetables on it as well, it's perfect.

There may have been some communication problems with NL and Austin, because NL doesn't live in an area that used to be Mexico. I think NL thinks there is only one type of salsa (Spanish for "sauce"), which is the only kind sold in jars outside the Southwest US. But, I agree with NL on that type of salsa, you have to scoop it or you just get a chip that is soggy , but with a lot of salsas you can still pick up the salsa with the chip by dipping.

I know i'm late to the party- tortilla chips. My family and I get about 1:1 tortillas and salsa. Obviously not exactly, but pretty close. I would describe the way we eat them as "small scoops" you get the solids, cover maybe 1/4 of your chip. When I was younger I had that Austin- just get the chip wet style, but like... why even buy salsa then? Just buy and squeeze some tomatoes.

A combination of both dipper and scooper.
I died as well on this daily, and I should have won easy. The path to success was to not take Mega and instead go with Compost. Compost + Quick Charge + Car Battery = Absurd Spider/ Fly army.
I was crushing the daily until I picked up Mega since I hardly even had to shoot as the all of my rooms were filled to the brim with my spiders/ flies.
