I've been getting some 3rd party 1/100 releases like the Genesis, trailblazer, and the eternal star glory. Bandai isn't releasing a lot of MG kits nowadays, so I get my fix with those new ones. I also got the PO fo the Mechanicore Firehawk, but that will be coming next year December probably.
i was looking forward to your GBWC 2023 recap, good overview! As a Canadian I was happy to see our country's representative take it all, an Amazing build by Simon Lam. I think in the big cities the Gunpla scene here is pretty good, but the lack of p-bandai hurts, maybe things will turn around.
I only got into plamo this year, so take my perspective on this year's kit releases as a beginner's opinion: 1) WFM kits are great, but i think bandai went over board in stocking them. I hope they will slowly sell but... 2) I really cannot get any of the older kits. SDCS, HG G-Reco, nicher IBO kits etc. are mostly kits that I have only seen pictures of because Bandai just wouldn't restock them. 3) I like the focus on other IP kits, but that also means there's a bunch of stuff i just see the IP of and ignore. 4) P-Bandai is depressingly hard to get. In Malaysia the shopee store is great, but if its a new kit I'm probably not gonna grab the PO in time.
terrible year of retail releases across all lines(excluding hgwfm) + pbandai. built series and kyoukai senki are shelf warmer. at personal level, im giving up on gunpla already to the point of selling kits if future roadmap continue to be going bleak. let hardcore hobbyists enjoy their free time huffing plastic cracks more than me. while im excited with the returning of hgce, its basically taking over wfm role for titular lineup. not totally addressing the lack of retail and new releases. that said, 30minute missions looks appealing suddenly
I think local x champion doesn't needed. Because in most cases they can't give objectives input. They will give positive input for entry that from his/her community, and give negative input for entry from other and or rival community.
Haha cuz in japan they got culture and manners. Malaysian scalpers don't care about that except making money reselling those kits. That's why people hate gbwc expo. Not for collectors but for scalpers.
I'm noticing that most of the winners are representing hobby shops/studios. It's making me less confident in joining next year since I'm not under any elite gunpla group.
i dont really care for other IP plamos aside from gundam. and most recent gunpla releases have very lackluster designs or have design elements that i dont like. i really dont like most of the designs in build series, i wish they'd do more militaristic build customs instead of turning all of them into super robots... its very different compared to what i often see real life custom builders do on insta or twitter
Yes I agree with the 2024 GBWC Get Bandai at least 2 representatives from Japan and one local pass champion representative for judging this thing I also wanted to highlight hopefully the organization can look into it, especially on the award trophies Maybe they were also considered some consolation prices I believe some entries also deserve that not only for the 1st 2nd and 3rd placing Hopefully the organization can look into that for 2024 GBWC🤔

yup, like it or not 2023 has been a great year for 3rd party kits
Proud of our champion Simon Lam! And p-bandai stuff, we have to pay at most 2 - 4 times the price of it.

Need more organic designs from Bandai in the future. Lots of “side and 2ndary characters ” mech designs in tWfM seem a little soulless.
