“They only let gay people sit here”, that killed me. This is the first I’ve seen of Sandi’s run and she’s brilliant
You need to see more of it. She's a bit more of a laid back host and more much like a friend with the guests.

Sandi was and is the perfect replacement for Stephen my god. She is absolutely brilliant as the host for QI. Never would have expected it, wholely satisfied.
honestly, I still miss stephen, but the replacement we got was the best possible choice. What a rarity, I love sandi.

It's a bit of a right shame that we haven't had them flip the tables, and have Stephen on as a guest to mirror Sandi being a guest on Qi.

@@SeanSMST I don't miss Stephen. Don't get me wrong, he was great, but I felt as though the show had run its natural course with him. Sandi was the only natural successor I could imagine ever filling his shoes and she has done so far more effectively than I even imagined.
Please get Stephen back on as a guest, it would be amazing to see Sandi and Stephen together again on QI with the roles now reversed!

@@johnnunn8688 Yes, darling, I'm sure that filming 45 minutes of unscripted nonfiction television somehow requires 37 hours of hideous tedium that made such a rude comment entirely necessary. Chad move on your part.
I think they said once in a special, that the actual filming takes between 3 and 4 hours. But I guess that depends if they have any new celebrities or not. As for all the boring tech stuff that is done before the audience is brought in so you get spontaneous laughing at the right times.
@@johnnunn8688 We live in the US. So going to London just for a taping is not really gonna happen. But thanks for the thought. I've been to a few Daily Show tapings, and my wife has been to game show tapings. It can be interesting
@@davemaginness I have been to a few show tapings, and done technical work for bands (YEARS ago) so I do dig little behind the scenes look. One of those; "It doesn't hurt to ask" sorta things.

Agree, it would be quite interesting especially for those of us watching from overseas and don't have a chance of seeing a live show.
As someone who has had pneumonia I can say that it is the absolute pits. Even once you are over the illness itself it can take months before you feel fit again. In my case it took three months between contracting it and feeling more or less okay (although still with low energy levels). Wishing you well Sandi.
Pneumonia is pretty awful. I have had it innumerable times throughout my life. It was impossible to maintain work.
Now you have an idea what people with Long Covid feel like all the time. And other auto-immune diseases like CFS/ME and fibromyalgia. If you are able to open an envelope, I am jealous of your strength!
Pneumonia is obviously particularly scary for the very young, and elderly. I am glad you survived it!
I didn't know Sandi had/ has pneumonia. I hope she has a rapid recovery, too. Fortunately she has a lot of love and support around her.
Yeah, pneumonia is a bitch. My dad died from pneumonia.
When i was younger i never cared about getting sick "because I'll just heal up again and get better". Then i got pneumonia when i was 19 and i have taken every little cold seriously since then. It was absolutely terrifying and I'm pretty sure i got *some* permanent brain damage from the duration and sheer temperature of the fever i had. Took me months to get back to normal as well, and my gut health was fucked even longer because of the amount of medicine i had to take. Stay away from pneumonia, kids!!

Please leave Richard Osmond in peace. We know he is tall. He knows he is tall. The joke wore out decades ago, and he has to deal with it every single day he is in public. It's extraordinary that Richard has remained civil and obliging and not murdered anyone....yet.
He's obviously thought about murdering people often enough to turn it into a successful series of detective novels.
It's too bad the powers that be at QI have decided nobody should be able to see episodes of the new series on TH-cam.
For a lot of us it's the only way to see it.

I SWEAR there's some canned laughter in this,.. that shrill laugh often appearing at the end of a crowd laugh segment. Tell me I'm wrong or prove otherwise,..
Less than 7 percent of the population is gay but 40 percent of the discussion is about being gay and lesbian. This wasn't the case with Steven Frye.
It wasn't his schtick and it's more Sandi's style... also, if you take into account the whole of the LGBTQ+ spectrum, the percentage is much higher... but then I'd be happy with 50% of the jokes having a gay slant to them. Sandi is so hilarious!

It's not though. I'm guessing you just think 'well since stephen left, it's all gone to shit' but it hasn't. Unless you've got something against women hosting, lesbians, or sandi's comedy, I don't see why you'd think it's gotten worse.
