Yes they are! There's an OLD Model 5 in Old Forge, PA that was sitting for over 40 years, with lots of debris in it, and MAN that thing wound up like it was new! Especially since the debris came out when the siren started up for the first time since 1976, when it was last used. It still sounds today for fire calls and a test daily at 6 PM

I have a rare prototype thunderbolt siren that hadn't been activated in 29 years! And it was finally activated and they put the box of a actual thunderbolt siren in the prototype and it sounds like a beast compared to when it activated for the first time 29 years ago

Unfortunately many departments have let them die on the vine (sort of) but as you can see after sitting for 20 years she came back to life. These sirens are much better than anything we have today. The 2001 SRN-3G pales in comparison.

If so then Canadian French is extremely different from the French heard in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Monaco or Luxemburg, it is considered "rougher" while Canadian French is considered "more melodic"

As of September 2023 this siren has been removed and I now own it. This siren is a Federal Enterprises Model 7.
