I never did like how the end played out between these two characters. Edwards made an unforgivable error in judgment, but he was ride or die when it mattered most, even knowing how it would likely play out for him in the end. I really wish James Reece had completed his character arc by just walking away and letting his friend live.
Maybe Reece didn't kill Edwards. There was a shot, but the murder is not shown. Reece could have fired to the side. Leave Edwards in Peru, while he sailed to Africa.
I think he lives, he's a cool character in this Series, It would be a waste killing him off like that 😆 🤣 🙄 I think everyone knows Ben Edwards is a cool cat, should live & be James Reece's sidekick 👏 😁 🤙
Taylor Kitsch did an amazing job. Too bad his character was killed off. But the murder itself was not shown, only the shot. It is possible in the second season and unscrew that James shot to the side.
@@EditingByFT Maybe but he scribbled of his name, then again he sometimes marked them of before the killing happenend, the boat was also unusually tilted maybe because Ben´s dead Body rolled to the side? Maybe he shot only the boat part and missed Ben and now the boat fills with water? I don´t think it is in Character to kill him. His Brother ally and friend who did everything for him, maybe because he felt guilty but he could have shot Reece so many times... Man this breaks my head!

In the book, James Reece kills Ben Edwards. But the plot of the movie is different from the book.
