- Russia is seeing significant losses on the battlefield of its invasion of Ukraine, with the U.S. estimating that as many as 100,000 Russian fighters have been killed or wounded in the war.
As the conflict drags on, the Kremlin appears to be looking for recruits from other countries.
Touria Izri and Shogofa Danish speak with former Afghan special forces, who say their comrades have now taken up arms to fight for Russia in Ukraine.

In light of the situation I'd say that was a wise move. The states thought that standing Afghan forces though doomed would buy them time to pack up n leave. The "Army" said F that. And these guys wisely went below radar knowing as soon as they were identified they would be fugitives.

What does that say about the Americans who can barely tell where their own infantry are when they have air superiority and happen to drop bombs or strafe them?
The smart choice would have been to reach out to Ukraine military and offer to fight for them instead of making their situation worse by fighting for Russia. Remember they are special forces so if they play their cards right this can lead to visas for them and their family.
It's a win-win situation because they get to live a better life and Ukraine military gets more special forces. 🤷🏻♂️

Sorry but have to disagree with you the US trained armed and for 20yrs pounded Al-Qaeda and the Taliban to the point that Al-Qaeda all but left Afghanistan and the Taliban had been reduced to about 75K fighters, while the US built a 300K strong Afghan Army with a small Airforce. Granted D Trump sold out the Afghan govt with his deal with the Taliban, but once the US left the Afghan Army gave up the country in 2weeks basically without a fight. Ukraine on the other hand its army did not fold like a cheap lawn chair. You can train/arm someone to fight but if they are not willing to fight for their own homes you cant blame the instructor.
