We are a few regular guys with regular 8-5 day jobs that stop at nothing to chase big fish anywhere this may take us. This passion occupies our minds constantly and propels us to chase our dreams, usually up and down a river.

Lake Jacomo, MO has the state record for channel cat in MO. 34lbs,caught a 18lber last year off fresh cut asian carp.
Glad to see someone can still catch big channels. When I was a kid in the mid 90s someone in my home town caught two channels in the same night. One channel was in the mid 30s the other was like 45 pounds. Both were long and thin the big one was probably pushing 4’ long. Both went in the guys freezer. I knew the guy and saw the pictures. I have never seen channel cats so big by the sounds of things I’m not likely too again.
Pound per pound channels are the hardest fighting catfish I think! I love catching giant channel cats! Fun looking trip!
They are up there for sure. Flats are a whole different fight... same with blues. They all have their perks that's for sure.

Great video gang! Ole Red River Luke of the North does it again! I had a blast on the red over the weekend. Caught a couple on frogs but fresh cut gold eye seemed to attract the bigger ones.
The average channel Catfish is 14lbs then there's gotta be at least a 60lb World Record Channel Cat lurking in the waters in North Dakota.
I think they over estimated the weight a hair, but obv the Red River has been recognized as the premiere Channel cat water in NA. The power plant lakes in the midwest that are too shallow to support Blues, are also some top notch Channel Cat fisheries. My home lake is one of these. It has an avg Channel approaching #10 and a healthy population of #20's.

Those are some HOGGS! AVG channel cats in my area is about 6-8lbs, with a few teen bruisers here and there.
Biggest channel I've seen in SW Missouri is 12lbs, drifting in stockton lake. That ain't nothing up there. WOW!!! Great video!

Why are giant channels so rare and giant blues are so common nowadays? When I was a kid in the 90s, catching blues were rare and maybe that is because I fished ponds but still i caught them over 10 pounds a lot. Now I rarely catch huge channels and catch bluea all the time and yes channels bite like real big cats. Like leopards and lion jaw power!! Lol. I once saw a guy break and cut finger down to bone from one biting and rolling. I told him and he no lisen 2 me🤣

Use have a vacation house on Clear Lake california. Channel Catfish there were average 10lbs, my PR 25lbs and a lake record 32lbs...
How big do these get to on the Red River and what are they eating to get so big?

Did you just say the AVERAGE size channel is 14lbs there? That doesn't seem correct lol. If you catch a channel over 10lbs here, it's considered abnormal.
Do you think fingering their gills is better for the fish if they aren't that big? I mean if your fingers can take that clamp how is it better than slamming your fingers in their gills?

Red is a bucket list destination for me! So close, cant believe we havent fished it yet! Was it that slow that you guys only caught 4 fish? What was the "Interesting day" about? Nice fish guys!
Hey Miller - the bite was fairly slow, but we definitely caught more fish than what was shown in the episode. We just like to show the most entertaining (which usually are the biggest) fish so that you guys don't get bored 😁 What was interesting is that we put on almost 70 miles that day in the boat to land on a broken dream lol.

I'm not ok with using frogs. I love catfishing but would never kill a frog. Frogs are cool don't fuk them up.
