I actually love the stiff neck It makes Batman move in a way that no one else in the film does It adds to the idea that he's not human, which is very much how the Burton version of Batman appears
I actually like it better than the first Batman. I really don’t care that it’s more Tim Burton’s than the other. I think it really adds to the theme of freaks and loners, which works for the Batman world
So your pissed that it was almost like it made to be based off of a very unrealistic comic book? In fact they stuck closer to the story with Penguin in this movie than Nolans Villains. I like Nolans first two films but cmon... Affleck had been a better batman in Batman vs Superman but those films sucked. He himself seemed ininspired in the Justice League film probably because it ALSO sucked. Returns is actually a fairly unique and artistic film far better than the two films that came after it. Dark Knight>Returns>Batman begins>Batman IMO those are the best. Disagree all you want, it's still my opinion.
To be honest, in my experience, I have found more people to like Returns better than Batman '89. I always thought that the '89 film was more underappreciated. Still, they were both good films.
The 89 suit looked rough and a little uncomplete ( the mask looks like handmade) but it still badass, the 92 suit looks superior, the mask looks perfect but the simetric armor style wasnt my favorite. I would like the have the 89 suit but polished
The cowl was the worst part for me. The one from the 89 movie looked incredible with the slight curve in the horns, I think these upright horns make it look weird.
I think each had it's own good qualities. The first one looked kinda rubbery, a little dusty, and if ya notice the cowl was loosely fitted around Keaton's face. But this suit was classic and to me is the definitive batsuit. Returns suit was definitely an upgrade. It was a lot more polished and durable. And was much more form fitting for Keaton's body. It had the classic bat emblem (without the extra fins in the first). However to me it was not as memorable as the first. The first one I feel is much more vintage
Until the Snyder Suit, I always felt the Returns suit was the best. It still looked dark and stylistic, but the fact that it looked more like body armor this time around (rather than sculpted human anatomy) was a welcome change for me. It was the perfect meeting point between style and functionality.
I want to write that my name is Josh Tate and i want to write that i liked Batman Returns and i thought that it was a great Batman film. i really liked the casting of Danny Devito as the Penguin and Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman too. i also want to write that the year 2024 will also be Batman's 85th anniversary year too.
From being Batman? No, he walked away from Batman when Warner Bros. replaced Tim Burton with Joel Schumacher. Keaton would have done another movie if Tim Burton was still directing
I wish they kept the base of the suit grey like the initial sculpt I think the next two film improved again minus the nipples but once again I wish they made the suit grey
I think that gray thing is because in earlier comic days it would be very difficult to make out the form of the body if it isn’t contrasted by lighter color. (Due to style and printing technology)
For those who say that the suit of '89 was much better, they are correct but they must learn to differentiate the concepts presented in the film of '89 and in the film of '92. The costume of the 89 has a more handmade and "animal" inspiration since it can be noticed in the style of textures that are noticeable both in the cowl as well as in the cape, Not to mention that inside the lore of the film the suit of the 89 is a unique piece In batman returns it was wanted to give a more updated appearance of batman improving both the gadgets and the suit an example is the grapple gun which apparently has more resistance and strength than in the previous film In this case the design of the suit is more inspired by Deco art, giving it a more elegant, simple and clean look compared to the previous suit that tried to give the appearance of a humanoid bat In addition to that in the film the suit is improved, in such a way that it seems that the punch received by the strong thugs are not a annoyance, besides that apparently the suits are produced in mass by batman
Nic Weaver Because in the first movie the logo used in the costume was different from the one shown in the promos and posters, so for this movie they changed the logo so that both in the posters and in the actual movie the logos were the same.
To add onto the last guys, they didn’t have the license to put it on the suit when they made the first one. They got it after they made it, so it was used in the promotion. I don’t remember where I heard that but I remember hearing it
@Brandon Brooks Really? The BvS suit was as close to perfection for a Bat-Suit that we've gotten so far (if only the suit had the trunks?). How does the grey ruin it for you? Personally, it's a dream come true for me to finally see Batman wearing grey again after 25 years
@@thenoirknight5729 The grey is too distracting for him to be in the dark and looks pretty corny. It's something you can easily do in a drawing or in the comics but something look weird in live action. The black suit fits better for a more intimidating image but helps him blend in the night. I just can't take the bright grey suit seriously unless it's in a Schumacher type world.
@brandonspain12345 I disagree it depends on the tone of grey if they went with a light grey for BVS I would agree with you. In fact if they did Neal Adams 70s type of grey that wouldn't have worked for me
It's supposed to be based on more art decco style which is more sharper, sleeker style. Also, if you've seen The Creature From The Black Lagoon, you'll see the body on the gill man looks like BR suit which makes sense when you know Burtkn loves Universal monster movies and wanted Batman to look somewhat inhuman which works when you think about it.
I like how everyone is falling into a trap of functionality that in the end the question remains-why even dress like a bat. That’s the problem with Nolan, he over explained the essence out of the character.
Really love the look of the batsuit on Returns, its my favorite of all live action batsuits.
Batfleck has my fav suit but something about his cowl is a bit off for me
Me too
How
I personally prefer the first one. But Id like it to have the quality of the returns one. I love em both. And Keaton, and Burton. Great movies.
You prefer this suit over the the suits from the dark knight trilogy?
I actually love the stiff neck
It makes Batman move in a way that no one else in the film does
It adds to the idea that he's not human, which is very much how the Burton version of Batman appears
A tip : watch series on flixzone. Been using it for watching a lot of movies lately.
The best of all the batsuits, easily the best cowl. It’s so unbelievably cool.
Yep
The returns suit looked better, than the normal one, thnx for making it
Returns is the most underappreciated Batman movie.
I actually like it better than the first Batman. I really don’t care that it’s more Tim Burton’s than the other. I think it really adds to the theme of freaks and loners, which works for the Batman world

It's my 4th favorite Batman movie..after tdk trilogy of course
Suniki You are He Underappreciated
The Best Suit of All Batmans

The best Batman costume.
The Cowl from Returns but the suit from Batman '89 hands down.
audio synch
Underrated Batsuit.
everyone gets ahead of themselves when it comes to talking in this vid
The first suit was so much better.
Danny devito was born to play the penguin
Not realy...
Not the biggest fan of the suit . I prefer the 89 . But the cowl is perfect.

The Penguin had balls to take on the Batman with an Umbrella.
I still prefer the more organic muscle look of Batman 89 over the more blocky armor of Batman Returns
Thank god they corrected the symbol in this movie,I hated in the first movie the 2 extra points at the bottom of the bat cause it just looks wrong
the sound is so off its unnerving
Tim Burtons batman is in my opinion the best suit. It has the good mix of the comics and the movie.
Agreed it give us the old comic book look
BvS suit is the best as a matter of fact! No discussion about that!
Still beautiful batsuit 1:37
I miss this movie at the theater.
Bat sign I prefer too
I want to write that my name is Josh Tate and i want to write that i liked Batman Returns and i thought that it was a great Batman film. i really liked the casting of Danny Devito as the Penguin and Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman too. i also want to write that the year 2024 will also be Batman's 85th anniversary year too.
I wasn't a fan of this suit. The '89 had a more intimidating look to it.
The process sounds like something a billionare could afford *nudge nudge*.
The Returns and the BvS Batsuits are hands down the best of all the cinematic interpretations.
That suit was hot 🔥🔥🔥🔥 asf that's why Michael keton walk away
From being Batman? No, he walked away from Batman when Warner Bros. replaced Tim Burton with Joel Schumacher. Keaton would have done another movie if Tim Burton was still directing
great video!
I wish they kept the base of the suit grey like the initial sculpt
I think the next two film improved again minus the nipples but once again I wish they made the suit grey
@JONOVO 1551 The grey suit is finally done in Batman vs superman pretty well
I prefer the black color suit. It helps him blend in the night more and doesn't make him stand out with the grey color.

Does anyone know the full documentary this is from?
Also the lip flaps are off.
Batman into rubber S&M
Felt like a downgrade. Still nice overall and better than some subsequent ones though.
I liked the first bat suit but not the logo I never liked those little legs at the bottom of the emblem
They had to do that because they didn't have the rights at the time to use the original.
@@ironman2326 Ik it’s still annoying
my dream !!!
The 89 suit is way better
Can I get a Catwoman and Batman
Why did they change the logo?

Harry Warburg oh, alright
@@omarkarim2280 yep, I heard that too in a video
If only they kept the suit grey it would have been the best batsuit yet

I don't think you can compare this suit to a ferrari thats way way way to cocky
Can someone pleaseeeeeee explain the logic behind the ab armor
Probably so that the actor can look even bigger and stronger when in the suit
@@abner_.silveira8845 the image of bigger and stronger was the impression of human abs not robotic vents, that looks retarted

@@theman3923 I think u misses my confusion.. The ab armor vs vents, I'm lost, it's designed to be bulletproof, that's gota be heavy
Again stiff neck.
So? Bat-Turn
I hate this change: 1:35, 1:34 is better, with abs.
Man all the sequels are so bad. Thank God for Christopher Nolan. Made 2 perfect Batman movies
Danny de vitos penguin ruined this movie for me.
Gtfo dude... First 2 batman films are the ONLY batman films in my mind.
WHAT?!
The "Batman Returns" sucked in design, and was totally unnecessary...
Really? I think it looks really cool. What makes the Returns Suit suck for you?
I liked it
