  • In this video, I've explained how to make a voltmeter using Arduino. Here, I've used 16x2 LCD display and also one potentiometer for calibration to get nearly accurate readings. The range of the voltmeter is 0 to 30 volt.

Excellent! Friend. Exactely what I was looking for. And nicely explained, with extreme precision and simplicity. Thank you. Now, million dollar questions. 1) How do I do the same WITHOUT ARDUINO, with current components (like LM324)? And 2) How to turn this from thermometer to VOLTAGE DISPLAY (for a solar panel or battery for instance)? Maybe a dedicated video Thanks for good inspiration. I send you PRANA for success and wealth.

Very good video!!! I downloaded your code...and few comments...you did only a single measurement of the voltage....I will suggest to average around 500 points... The second points that I will make... is that there is a strong debate as if the divider from the analog conversion should be 1023 or 1024...but since you are calibrating...I guess that will not be a problem. Keep the good Work!!!

    Nice explanation 👍
But why the voltage displayed on the LCD is fluctuating little bit?
Is it due to the power supplied to the 10 bit ADC of arduino?
Or do we need more precision in ADC, 12 or 16 bit?

Very good question. Even I don't know the exact reason. Sometimes we can see some multimeter also do this fluctuations.
To solve this problem, I think we have to find out the average value. 🤔

@@EEWave Okay. Thank you for your response. I'll try by taking an average value, that could be one of the solution.

I see voltage measures fine, but When I put 12V, it detects like 12.00V , 12.06V, 12.12V this
this chnages alot and IDK what to do.

Add filtering capacitor from ground to the analog input pin
And check, i think that flikering is noise on analog pin
