    Have you ever tried putting in all the silage right after the hay? The reason why it takes so long to process is because the hay is fluffy, which takes much more time. Putting something in that is more dense will help push that feed down and allow it to mix and process faster

      Yes I've don't that, that particular ration had hardly any silage in it. But yes it does work much faster with weight on top. We use mainly round bales here and those take a while no matter what. I would love to have a new one, with new augers and knives

      @CentralValleyCaliforniaFarming so far I have owned this Kirby, my very first one was a harsh tornado, very old, and then I got to run new kuhn twin max on a truck which I liked and then my neighbor had a new Meyers wagon that run a good amount that I really liked. I would really like to have something around that 1200 to 1400 cubic ft on a truck

    Glad to see you, all we have been getting is a few skiffs of snow and lots of wind. Since it is NM the wind of course is a given! 🤣🤣

    Glad to see you're producing videos again, the snow sucks but at least it's the moisture, are you planning on doing a saddle shed video?

    Winter wheat grazing is Oklahoma life hack, well. We still feed hay. But not near as much vs dormant grass pasture.
    Winter storms we burn threw a lot more hey no matter what. 2x a week they'll get feed cubes. I would have to look at my sheet in my office to get a accurate protein rating. We aren't to fancy besides cattle eye appeal and fences lol

    Just my opinion. But I think a tractor is good for about 2 mile distance one way. Anything further is cheaper to run a truck

    • @sowerscattleco3484
      @sowerscattleco3484  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For sure, truck would be way better for distance. Just come with a larger price tag when the tractor is already in place for farming. over buying both to feed with, then I would say the truck is better financially as well.

    Greetings from Saskatchewan. TH-cam hasn’t notified me of your videos so I was only six videos behind..was kinda wondering if you didn’t take all the money you made off feeding cattle and TH-cam and retired to the Caribbean or such 😂😀
