mini dachshunds react to seeing owner after 3 days

Daniel took a trip to Byron for three days, which meant that Remi and Mia were without day for a whole three days. This felt like an absolute eternity for them, and without being able to speak to them, they weren't sure when (or if) he would return back. Although they were able to spend the three days with me, they were slightly on edge as they didn't feel as though the family was complete. There were times when they would wait by the door, or rush to the door at any sound outside thinking it was Daniel.
When Daniel finally returned, suffice to say, they could not contain their happiness. Tails wagging like crazy and alot of barking/happy cries from Remi. Remi especially is a Daddy's boy so Daniel's absence was particularly tough for him. As for Mia, she missed her cuddles and belly rubs. Now the family is back to together, and the dachshunds can sleep in peace!

Seeing Mia n Remi makes my heart happy with tears. My beautiful girl Nala (in the pic) would greet me the same way, n I would b coming back just from a day's work. She's now playing her heart out at Rainbow Bridge 💔 n someday we will b together again 🐾
Hi Maria, your Nala looks like my Bella, who is also at the Rainbow Bridge. I hope they're playing together. My Bella was such a blessing. She was a rescue and lived 13 years with us. I miss that baby!!

Mia is definitely more together than Remi but that's just because she's a little older & wise. Remi goes ballistic because he's still a puppy and has so much loving energy to burn!! Awwww! There's nothing like coming home to such a happy welcome. Dachshunds really do love with all their hearts. Once, when I was sick with the flu, my Sweetie wouldn't leave my side. My friend tried to get her to go outside to potty, and she wouldn't go until I got up. I hope Daniel had a nice trip.

I grew up with Dachshunds, and got my fourth rescue on St. Patrick's Day of 2018. Her name is Sweetpea, she's about 10 years old now, and brings me joy every day. There is just something about Dachshunds that is unique and wonderful. I can't imagine my life without a long, low canine companion! Your videos are wonderful. I see so much of every Dachshund I've ever known in your two sweeties!

@@RemitheMiniDachshund FYI, my mom also has a Dachshund, who is called Thomas Jefferson - the latest in a long line of Dachsies our family has had since 1975. Mom sent me a doormat which has three images of dog hindquarters with wagging tails and the words: "Money can buy a lot of things, but it doesn't wiggle its butt every time you come in the door." 😁
