Bappi Da started and popularized the disco music in India. He was mostly known for composing Disco songs. But, at the same time, he gave some very melodious and beautiful songs like 'Goron ki na kaalon ki ye duniya hai dilwalon ki', 'Manzilein apni jagah', 'Kisi nazar ko tera intezaar hai', 'Muskurata hua mera yaar', 'Pyaar maanga hai tumhi se', 'Jeena hai to hans ke jiyo', 'Mujhko ye zindagi lagti hai ajnabi', 'Tip tip tip barish shuru ho gayi', 'Gori hain kalaiyan', 'Tu paagal premi awaara', etc. 'Tip tip tip barish shuru ho gayi' is one of his best compositions. He was a versatile music composer.
