I had the pleasure to spend sometime with Mr.Velazquez, and still have the pleasure to spend sometime with Alfredo, Masters Luthiers and Great people.
Correct pronunciation is "Velazquith", my old man bought his finest in 1961, the year I was born. My old man, left the guitar on his wall in there driest home on earth, for years, until it fell on the floor and cracked up. But!! I had it repaired, and today it is still the finest classical guitar I've ever played, period.
El Maestro.
Dios lo bendiga a él y a su hijo que continúa la obra.
he is so honest, you begin to like him right from the first word he says...
To see the passion with which he builds even after all these years is inspiring.
I've been playing the same Velazquez guitar almost daily since I bought it in 1996 when I was 38 years old. If I had to do my life over again I would save all my paper route money I earned in grade school and buy one of his guitars as a teenager. The sound is one thing but to experience the responsiveness and nuances of a Velazquez guitar is one of the greatest drugs known to man.
beauty of guitar sound is like a drug to guitar lover
Una pena que no le brindamos mas atencion y homenaje cunado estabe vivo...Que gran artista

That "girl" is Virginia Luque. A great and accomplished artist in her own right.
Indeed. Virginia Luque is among the world’s finest contemporary guitarists. Widely regarded as Segovia’s last student. Brilliant musician.
Whats the name of the first song in the video?? :-)

I think he is the feller that makes them Esteban guitars you see on tv.
His guitars are worth now millions of dollars after his death...
No they're not!
,,,you can buy one for 12000 usd ,,,
play same thing all the time
He makes good guitars but it's just guitar if some has skills to build guitar they all all same, people making it bigger then it is, it's a nice guitar with good sound like other hand build guitars
You sir know nothing about guitars. There can be 100 guitars but one will speak to you, if you are a musician that is. Not only will it speak to you but it will inspire you to play and play and play. The sweetness of its sound its timbre and sustain will make you sound a little better than what you really are. Especially if its setup just right to get the most of the sound and playability.
Why is there no mention that his guitars are direct copies of Hauser. ?I own a 1961 Velazquez. It is a decent guitar, it is no Hauser.
I've heard a couple of his concert guitars that I prefer over Hausers I've heard. Every instrument is unique. Hauser drew upon previous luthiers' experience. Current great luthiers do the same.
Better than Hauser..!!
He kinda sounds like Van Halen haha
I just wanted to say to Manuel's son, you don't have to do the same thing your father did. Maybe God has placed inside of you a different longing or desire. Whatever it is that you do, do it to the glory of God, and make sure you enjoy doing it!
Still in training Bub, you?
