    The thing about Knott's Berry farm is its family-friendly and affordable you don't have to take a mortgage out to take the kids for a good days fun. And think of all the good food you get LOL

      Correct and they also do not have the theming, shows and service as Disney. Instead you have a motel.6 on property and sub par theming, not for the whole family.

      @Adiel Alfonso quality?? The last huge thing they built which cost a huge amount of money was galaxy's edge. Next year we have Mickey's runaway and a reimagined toon Town. All night times spectaculars are up and running..Knott's doesn't have any of those things, and you wonder why Knott's is cheaper?

    • @alucard2010
      @alucard2010 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Adiel Alfonso then why are you even commenting? Knott's is not even in Florida . We all know WDW sucks and Disneyland resort is the superior experience. Friendlier staff, more attractions with 2 parks compared to 4 parks. Better weather . I never had a problem with the reservation system, all dates I wanted to go I got. Genie plus was no different then max pass in California. And by the way critter country is just a mall ( a shop and one ride which is good . It's a land that's it. I can say that about any land. ..

    Back in the 60s when my husband and I were dating we would go just for the chili dogs. There was a little cable car, ghost town. stagecoach, train and the carousel. Across the street there were still berry fields. There was no fence or admission. The fence went up when the hippies started to stay overnight. Up went the fence and admission. So many memories just from watching this. I used to LOVE going to Knott's back in the day when I was a kid! I remember when I lived in OC, my dad & I would spend the day there on a Saturday, and then we'd head over to the old Movieland Wax Museum right down the street the following Sunday! Then our family would all get together the following weekend and head on over to the nearby Medieval Times for dinner & that AMAZING tournament show! (it's still there to this day, but sadly the MWM isn't...) The best thing about it was that all 3 locations were right there on the same block (Beach Blvd.) so we could just sort of hop from one location to the next, which was alot of fun ... and things were a LOT cheaper back then! I really miss those days... 😥

My daughter considers Knott's a part of the family. There are ways to avoid long lines and waits, just come on a non holiday weekday like April 10th and you can do a lot. Or if you like the crowds and want to enjoy Knott's at it's full potential, visit on a summer's Saturday morning. It's the perfect park with perfect food and boysenberry punch. I really appreciate Knott's and their history.

    I appreciate Knotts berry farm for being what it is, that is just an “amusement” park, they don’t follow the notion in having exceeding popularity to progress and all the side business that businesses such as Disney believe people want in an amusement park

    I mean unfortunately Cedarfair ended up tearing out "The Kingdom Of The Dinosaurs" and "The Haunted Shack", two well loved historical attractions at Knott's Berry Farm. So much for not tearing down what Knott's build🙄, I have many childhood memories at Knott's Berry Farm that includes those two attractions, i miss them so much.🙁😔 I tell my kid's whenever we go how it used to be there during my childhood. I also remember they even used to have a live dolphin attraction show🐬🐳, Good time's.

      @AmericasCoasterNetwork 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately, Cedar Fair didn't have much of a choice. Both were in need of heavy repairs. The Haunted Shack was so rotten that it was about to fall over. And neither met ADA requirements. The attractions would have had to be rebuilt from the ground up and meet all ADA requirements. Not sure how that would even work for an attraction like The Haunted Shack. Thankfully, Cedar Fair has not only preserved Ghost Town, they've expanded it over the years. I'm certain that Disney would have shoved all their intellectual properties into the park. As they did with ruining one of their own parks, DCA. Which is now Marvel/Pixar land.

    • @youreapotato7230
      @youreapotato7230 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AmericasCoasterNetwork Yes so i was told, however rebuilding them both from the ground up would have been nice. Yes I love ghost town!,🙂 they indeed have preserved it nicely and I love the extension especially during Knott's Scary Farm. No doubt Disney would have done worse, i completely agree with you. Im thankful the Knott's family didn't sell to Disney. Just wish Cedar Fair would bring back those two attractions, it was much better then what's there now.

    I read about Knott's Berry Farm from a flyer in a hotel lobby during a business trip. But my Californian colleagues never mentioned it, nor friends that went to SoCal for leisure. How come? When my family went to LA on vacation, we made sure to go there and it was one of the best things we ever did. It is so underrated!

    Used to absolutely love going to kbf because it was so fun. Disneyland too but at a different level. Then years later took my own kids and it must have been a bad night because it seemed like gang night 1996 I guess. Anyways to make a long story longer I should probably like Disney better since it was my first job. I think my junior or senior year. Worked at jungle cruise and it was a blast after I got over the speaking in public thing. I asked for canoes across the way but it was supposedly full. And I had never been on jungle cruise. Ever. So blindsided.
